This was the best hotel (relatively-speaking) during our Bhutan adventures. We stayed here on two different occasions. The location is not conducive for going on a safe walk, much less to town – best if you get a taxi or your tour driver to take you places. However, it is in a beautiful, peaceful area, the architecture is appealing, and... More

This hotel is simple, yet charming and well appointed. The room was tastefully decorated and we loved the heated floors. The windows surrounded two full walls, so that made for a nice view of the river. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Our only issue would be that they need to vent the dining area during breakfast as the... More

On 29th November, 2014, we, a group of 11 people, planned to pass the afternoon in Tashi Namgay Resort, Paro, Bhutan. The place is excellent and exactly by the side of the Paro river. We pre booked the place with Mr. Mahendra Sharma, Manager of the resort. The resort manager was a true gentleman and full of hospitality. Good food... More

I completely agree with arvidc. Very good for Bhutan - better than most I had but not as good as the best I stayed in during my trip to Bhutan. I was in Room 103 right on the river and not far from the lobby so the steps didn't bother me. The room was huge and due to the layout... More

I really enjoyed staying at the Tashi Namgay. However, I should put things in context - we were a group of 34 and spent most of the time outside. But the limited time we spent in the hotel were great. If you look only at the rooms, the lobby, the breakfast, the Wifi, I would be tempted to give it... More

The TMR is one of Paro's original tourist hotels but in spite of its age it's still one of the better properties in Paro. It's located away from the city center and alongside both the Paro Chhu (river) and the international airport. Even with a view of the Paro dzong it's not the most picturesque setting but seeing the planes... More

This is a very pretty hotel on the river Chhu, with spacious and comfortable rooms around a very nice garden. The lobby and restaurant are in a tower with traditional decorations. Since most tourists come to Bhutan in a package, dinner and breakfast were just ok but nothing memorable. After a day of sightseeing, I highly recommend that you take... More

This is a wonderful resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean, with underfloor heating, tv, free wifi, tea and coffee facilities in room and large bathroom with shower plus plenty of hot water. The decoration is very nice with large windows looking out over the valley. The food was excellent as well.... More

Don't expect the usual standards of a good hotel in Bhutan. You need to leave your expectations behind. We stayed twice at this hotel on our trip to Bhutan and on reflection, it was one of the best we stayed in. The location is nice- out of the town centre and beside the river. You will also have a grand... More

Attractive hotel alongside the river in traditional style. We stsyed in spacious semi detached cabin style rooms with separate seating area and shower cubicle. Felt positively luxurious haviing just spent several weeks in Nepal and has plentiful hot water. Peaceful location and comfy bed guaranteed a good night's sleep. Dinner and breakfast buffets were qood quality and service was good.... More
