It was a perfect 2 nights stay at this resort. The room was big and nice. Staffs were very helpful. Wifi was strong. Location is perfect, by the river opposite the airport. Breakfast was perfect for a 3 stars resort. They also have a nice spa. If you need a hot stone bath, you have to reserve at least 3... More

This is a very very pretty property, set amidst apple orchards, and right on the river, with stunning views all around. The rooms are large and comfortable, nice bathrooms, adequate heating and hot water and a spa that serves the purpose, though not brilliant. The main problem is the food, which is very average (which can be an issue in... More

Tashi Namgay is a lovely place to stay. I thought the older rooms were more enjoyable than the newer ones, I'd recommend them most of all. The location is lovely in itself, but is a bit far from Paro, meaning that one is reliant on taxis. The food was fine, the balcony outside the bar and restaurant was totally lovely.... More

The first thing which most of the travellers will agree on is that this is one hell of a good property in terms of location as well as the room size. Right next to the river and overlooking the paro mountain range as well as the paro airport which is definitely pleasing to the eyes. We were staying in room... More

Beautiful resort overlooks Paro River and Paro Dzong. The suite with two floors is spacious with a living room downstairs and a big bedroom upstairs. The bathroom in the bedroom is also spacious with a nice tub to soak. The hotel staff (e.g., Mr. Khandu Wangchuk) are very helpful. The resort is only 10 minutes from the Paro International Airport.

Beautiful Resort by the Paro Riverside. Bang opposite the main runway of the Paro Airport. The resort is well designed with the cottages all around the main Reception and the Restaurant. Awesome food......specially the dinner. The chef Senapati from Orissa is simply great as he will take care of all your favourites which you are missing away from home. Finally... More

The Tashi Nangmay Resort has been the by far the best hotel I have stayed in Bhutan. The cottages overlook their lush garden and the beautiful Paro River. The rooms reflect the distinct Bhutanese culture with the silk embroidered and hand-woven curtains and bed sheets. The clean bathrooms are also very spacious with a nice tub to soak in after... More

We were in Paro for three nights and changed from the Kichu Resort to this place for three nights. This is not a well designed property and I really dont think from any stretch of imagination you can classify this as a luxury resort. Its nice with quaint rooms but difficult to get around. The food for Paro is expensive,... More

TNRParo, General Manager at Tashi Namgay Resort, responded to this review

Greetings from Tashi Namgay Resort and thank you for your valued feedback. We are extremely sorry for your bad experience, especially with service and smell in the room. I agree with your view on slow services specially when our staffs have to cater to many room services at this season, and worst our cottages are spread apart within 5 acres.... More

Just had one night at TNR on the way to Jakar. TNR is a nice place to stay - the rooms are large, have heating (should you need it) both in the room and the bathroom, have a fridge, water heater, cups and glasses, some Nescafe, but no tea. The dinner buffet is fine, although a focus on Bhutanese food... More

No doubt its a wonderful property, Tashi Namgay is a brand name and provides excellent quality rooms, service and food, It is located near high way road, one can go upto Paro town by walking which takes about 30 mins.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tashi Namgay Resort is a family run business. Managed my young team of staffs. It is located opposite to Paro International Airport separated by a big river(called Pa Chhu). The resort is spread over 5 acres of lust green agriculture field along Pa Chu with 360 degree views of beautiful landscape. The traditional Bhutanese architectural design and modern amenities were combined to provide our guest a comfortable stay and yet experience a Bhutanese lifestyle. Unlike many hotels & resort of equivalent standard in Paro valley, Tashi Namgay Resort offers high standard spa facilities, fitness center, Bhutanese hot stone bath experience, traditional games like archery, khuru, dego, BBQ and bonfire facilities. ... more   less
