We stayed at Tashi Namgay for three nights over two stays (first, immediately after landing in Bhutan and again for two nights at the end of the trip before flying out). The hotel was managed professionally and overall we had a good experience, although there were areas for improvement. On the strengths: the hotel is located directly across the river... More

I would like to share my experience in 3 parts - rooms, hotel staff and food. Rooms are fitted with so called centralised heating system which never heats the room. Hotel doesn't have external heater neither they provide bed heaters. Receptionist could not arrange a staff who could help us find our room in that vast area of the resort,... More

This thank you note is genuinely overdue from our side!! I cannot thank Tashi Namgay in Paro, Bhutan enough for their wonderful hospitality that far exceeded my expectations. We booked two suites at this excellent property. Words truly cannot express how happy we’re with this hotel and authentic care by its staff to ensure that our stay was excellent! The... More

We, a couple from Kolkata, India travelled Paro in Dec'14. We had zeroed in to this hotel back home & done the prior reservations. But when we reached at the hotel it was hundred times better than the picture. The renovation & extension of the hotel is in progress and Mr. Mahender Sharma, the Manager wants it to be the... More

This was the best hotel (relatively-speaking) during our Bhutan adventures. We stayed here on two different occasions. The location is not conducive for going on a safe walk, much less to town – best if you get a taxi or your tour driver to take you places. However, it is in a beautiful, peaceful area, the architecture is appealing, and... More

This hotel is simple, yet charming and well appointed. The room was tastefully decorated and we loved the heated floors. The windows surrounded two full walls, so that made for a nice view of the river. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Our only issue would be that they need to vent the dining area during breakfast as the... More

On 29th November, 2014, we, a group of 11 people, planned to pass the afternoon in Tashi Namgay Resort, Paro, Bhutan. The place is excellent and exactly by the side of the Paro river. We pre booked the place with Mr. Mahendra Sharma, Manager of the resort. The resort manager was a true gentleman and full of hospitality. Good food... More

I completely agree with arvidc. Very good for Bhutan - better than most I had but not as good as the best I stayed in during my trip to Bhutan. I was in Room 103 right on the river and not far from the lobby so the steps didn't bother me. The room was huge and due to the layout... More
