We picked the Standard rooms, as opposed to the Bungalows that were a bit more expensive. The standard rooms were spacious enough. The bathrooms were not maintained very well though. Colorful rooms with Bhutanese tapestries and paintings all over. Food was very disappointing at the restaurant, with not even Dal making the cut. Quiet and calm.

Namsey Chholing resort is a very good place for staying. Calm and quiet place. Rooms are spacious, well decorated, attractive place. Little away from the city. Girls are friendly, courteous. Vegetarian food is average.

Again bumped by BTCL as our first choice was Tigers Nest however not disappointed. Big bungalow rooms well furnished. Good communal area including bar and separate restaurant. Imported wine very expensive but to be expected. Good food and service. Probably best hotel we stayed in during our ten trip through Bhutan. Good choice.

We stayed here two nights, during our 34 day Himalayan Trip. Attractive grounds with lots of flowers. Very large rooms with sitting areas and porch. Nice furnishings, comfortable beds, but the pillows are very big and hard. Flat screen TV with lots of English speaking channels. The bathroom was nice, but not enough hot water. Buffet dinner was very good,... More

Visited this resort in October'14 with a group of 10 friends with families. We stayed only one night as the manager and the receptionist were extremely rude to us on arrival. Though the check in time was after 12noon, we reached at around 4pm and we were made to wait another hour for them to allot us our rooms. We... More

We had a very large room with two double beds, in a building a bit away from the reception and the dining room. We loved the room, it was huge and quiet. Everything that was needed was there: possibility to make coffee/tea; bathroom necessities; tv. The only negative thing about the room was the shower: there was hardly any water... More

My husband and spent 4 nights here on our recent visit to Bhutan. This is one of the standard quality hotels in Bhutan. The rooms are comfortable. The service is friendly. The food is basic. The property is in need of some updates to give it a face lift and to highlight its nice setting outside Paro. An advantage to... More

Having checked about half a dozen hotels in Paro town without liking even one we drove about three KMs. out towards Drugyal to spot a small sign post announcing Namsay Chhoeling Resort to the left of the main road. On entering the side road we found ourselves driving up a rough track. About 500 metres of driving, for what then... More

Not a bad place to stay in Paro. Not really close to anything, you can walk to town but transportation is a better way. Only 10-15 minutes by car which is helpful if you're carrying treasures you purchased in town. It is quiet and has a lovely view from the upper floors. Rooms are large, and not dirty -- clean... The rooms was spacious - too spacious for a very weak heater to warm it at all. And make no mistake - it gets cold there in November! Outlets didn't work. Electric tea pot didn't work. Power went out and we found out after the candle dropped that it was balanced on the candle holder rather than fitting into it... More
