We have stayed there for two summers now (both at least 10 night stays) and have nothing but great things to say about this property. The staff has alwyas been accomodating, the breakfast and manager's receptions are always great and we have had no problems with our penthouse rooms. To me the location is ideal for San Jose, you can... more

I wouldn't stay here again for business or pleasure. The area was not very nice, there were 'long-term' guests that seemed a bit suspicious and the guest registration office was hard to find. I arrived in a taxi at night and we had to make a U-turn in the back of the complex because the front area was not easy... more

My wife and I stayed here for five nights in mid-December. We booked one of their "Penthouse" suites, which consisted of a first level (which started on the second floor) living room, dining room (w/ Murphy bed), bathroom, full kitchen, and a second-level bedroom and bathroom. Overall amenities were fine for an extended-stay hotel with a couple exceptions: - the... more

What we liked: * Full kitchen with large refrigerator (found at all Residence Inns.) * Very comfortable pillow-top mattress. * Very quiet hotel, although the refrigerator was loud enough to serve as white noise. * My partner thought the breakfast buffet had a good selection and good tasting food. It included fruit, breakfast potatoes, eggs and sausage. * Good water... more

While we have previously not had any problems and re-booked several times, we will no longer do so and do not recommend this location, unless the hotel addresses the issue. One of our managers stayed there and was threatened by another guest. The hotel refused to call the police because the other guest was a frequent customer, and then hassled... more

The hotel has the exact feel of garden apartments (i.e. no interior corridors; individual unit entrances on first or second floor) in a slightly rundown neighborhood. The front desk area was a little hard to find at night (not obvious where it is from the parking lot). The front desk area and breakfast room seemed a little small. Room is... more

Disappointed upon arrival as AAA book said interior/exterior corridors--but NO interior corridors here, just the typical Residence Inn condo/apartment style outside entrances. Room was very nice--good quiet heat, fully-stocked full kitchen, 25+ channel TV, comfortable bed, free microwave popcorn in with coffee supplies. Looked like a decent area of town. A lot of choice in free breakfast buffet including scrambled... more

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 2 kids ages 3 & 6. We stayed in a "penthouse suite" which is basically a kitchen, eating area, bathroom, and living room-type area downstairs. The sofa in the living area is a sofa bed, and in the office/eating area there is a queen sized murphy bed. There is a curtain... more
