We have stayed in the basic room snd the executive two room suite - for two days and for longer 12-14 days. It is important to realise that this is NOT a hotel. It is serviced apartments. The apartments have excellent daily service including doing your food shopping for you if required. There is also a free of charge laundry... More

I have been staying at the LARKSPUR in Campbell, CA when ever I am in the San Jose area for over ten years because it is consistently the best value of all of the hotels that are in this area. Although it is starting to show some signs of age the staff, the cleanliness and the overall feel of the... More

Stayed here Saturday night, nice room, but the bed was awful, had a plastic cover right under the sheet, like they are afraid of incontinent guests. Each time you move the plastic makes noise. The refrigerator was turning on and off all night like a tractor. Needless to say next morning I felt terrible, it rooned my Sunday. The location... More

Dear ili_lp, Thank you kindly for your review of the hotel, I certainly want to apologize for not providing you with the level of comfort you have previously experience with other Larkspur Hotels. I do understand what you mentioned about the Mattress cover - they do tend to make that sound when they are new and our housekeeping team break... More

The Larkspur Landing is very nice. We had an executive suite. It was a real suite, with a separate bedroom with a door between rooms. The breakfast is ok but not special. Toaster waffles, toaster French toast, bagels instant oatmeal, and bread were the only hot items. However, they provided lots of brand name cold items yogurt, cheese sticks, milks,... More

Stayed at this hotel for business and found a must stay hotel in the San Jose area. Upon arrival front desk greeted me with smiles and fresh cookies. My room was very large for today’s hotels with full kitchen. Room a bit dated but very, very clean. Breakfast was complimentary with bagels, breads and Danish type selections. Juice options are... This place is a practical hotel, that fits the 3* category pretty well. Sure like some of the other reviews state, its a little dark and old in places, so perhaps not a honeymoon hotel, however I'd stay again if it was for a quick stop. The staff behind the front desk are young, and surprisingly not the sharpest tools... More

Dear jagzy_78, Thank you for your review of the staff and property, it is agreeable that more detailed shall be placed in the staff’s knowledge of the room location – I’m happy to know that your room wasn't too difficult to find. Poor front desk service and my room smelled awful. Moved rooms and the second is worse than the first! The second smelled of pan fried food and repulsive cheap men's cologne. I've been trying to find another place to stay but everything is booked. When you pay this much for a room, you expect to get a good room and... More

Would have given a better review but we had a problem with the bed cloths for the sofa bed. The pillow cases were stained and the mattress pad was in pieces and appeared to be for a smaller hideabed. The location was good and front desk was very helpful and efficient.

Good points: The location on Hamilton means easy access to the 17, the San Tomas Expressway and Santana Row. There's a Safeway with a Starbuck inside 2 minutes drive to the west and a Trader Joes and a Whole Foods 5 minutes east along Hamilton (just past the 17). The kitchen and fridge is up to scratch - although you... More
