The two days that we stayed here were so windy that it made it difficult to enjoy the property. The cabin shook and the wind howled right through the walls. I was told that the wind is common. The room was pleasant and mattress was thin. The hikes from the lodge were wonderful and we saw more wildlife here that... More

We were totally surprised by this place. We had an amazing 5 day stay is the jungle lodge. Rooms were clean and spacious. Every staff member we dealt with was extremely professional, helpful and quite fun. The buffet breakfast and dinner was excellent. Plenty of tours offered but there is also walks that you can do yourself for free which... More

nice hotel, lovely rooms integrated in the green environment. Lot's of activities unfortunately to pay for (and rather expensive) but seems to get common in Costa Rica. No arco on the room but the temperature at night is OK and the VAN creates refreshment. The rooms are basic but more than OK. The view on the mountains is great.

We traveled throughout the Guanacaste region as a group of 4 adults and two children. We stayed at five different locations and this was, by far, the best stay of the whole trip. it is safe there for ourselves and our valuables (unlike most places in country). We bought the adventure packages at the local rate as we were not... More

Our family of six enjoyed our one night stay in side by side cabins. A local fried recommended it on our way from Monteverde to Tamarindo. The ziplines were very fun (nothing like sky trek in Monteverde). None of them very long but still fun. We all did the waterslide ONCE (you can do it up to 5 times). It... More

we stayed at Buena Vista Lodge for a couple of days. There is horseback riding, watersliding, zip-lining, visiting the hot spring pools, hiking in the dry forest and just hanging out at the Sunset Bar to check out the fireflies. The ziplining was fun. there is a section where you can zipline upside down. The hot springs were nice -... More

Rooms remind you of summer camp cabins, wood, tin roofs, fans that move hot air around, holes in the screens. No safes in the room. Nice towels. Drinks at sunset bar are fun, beautiful view. Food is very basic, No wi fi in rooms. Horses are very skinny. Dining room very hot, not a great ambiance.

From a hotel point of view, it is average. Rooms are clean but quiet far from the lobby and not all the ways are lit, food is ok but nothing special....BUT: The lodge has a bar with a unique panorama view. You will be able to see a fantastic sunset (if you are lucky with the weather) where you can... More

Had a wonderful time at the Buena Vista lodge. The staff was very nice and helpful. Very clean rooms and the included breakfast was very good. The sunset bar had the most beautiful view. Had a lot of fun riding horses, soaking in the thermal waters, and the canopy tour. Safe equipment and helpful guides.
