We spent one day partaking in several on site activities and stayed the following night in the hotel. Overall, the hotel grounds are beautiful and you are absolutely in the middle of nowhere, far removed from the hustle and bustle of any city. Horseback riding trip - the horseback trip was through absolutely beautiful scenery, i couldn't take enough photos... More

I stayed here for 4 days before a 100 mile MTB race around the Rincon de la Vieja and found it to be the perfect base camp to prepare for the race. The jungle setting is very peaceful and a true Costa Rican gem with great rooms and friendly staff. The pool, hot springs, mud baths and sauna all situated... More

We stayed 3 days after arriving in Costa Rica. Located approx 1 hour from the Liberia airport this was a perfect vacation start. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the bungalows are lovely, and clean, the food is great and the stay is a nice blend of relaxation and activity. The resort blends very nicely into nature. We went to the... More

Nice place to stay and visit het vulcano activity in Ricon de la Vieja national park. Take the turn from Highway 1 to Canas Dulces and signs indicate the way. Take care on the dirt road which is duable by car. Mind which bungalow you get, since the terrain consist of 'rolling hills'. Nice spacious bungalows. The dining room is... More

Location: 1 hour from Liberia airport. We rented a car and there was construction delays. Remote location, need either a car or a shuttle. It is isolated in the mountains, there area beautiful views and things to do but within the complex. Bungalow: gorgeous bedroom and big bathroom. Balcony with hammock. As others have said, a steep hill to get... More

I visited Borinquen in June with a friend and my 2 yr old son. We live about 2 hours drive away in Guanacaste and could only stay for a night. The pool for my son was perfect. The food was outstanding. We were met with a drink in reception and upgraded to a superior bungalow. The staff were extremely helpful... More

If you want to find some peace, pampering, an encounter with Nature this is the place. You are in the mountain with the sounds of the birds, wind and all you can imagine. The staff was the best, attentive, and ready to help you at any time. The room beautiful with everything you needed. The surrounding are just magical, we... More

We absolutely loved our stay! The resort is surrounded by foliage, animals and beauty. This was our fist visit to Costa Rica and our favorite 2 parts are weather (no humidity) and excursions (horseback riding, white water rafting, zipline). Borinquen can help schedule your excursion so ask the front desk. Staff is very sweet from front desk to restaurant. The... More

I stayed 2 days in this very far hotel. The rooms are very good and also very clean. The girl from front desk doesn't understand English and my communication and doubts were not clarified :( the restaurant is okay but the service is very bad and slow. In my last lunch I waited 30 minutes and no one came to... More
