We really enjoyed our 3-night-stay at Rancho Curubande Lodge and would recommend this hotel with good price/performance ratio. Rancho Curubande Lodge is run by a Costa Rican family, the boss speaks english very well, gives good recommendations and is up for a nice chat. Early in the morning the ranch is visited by many different kind of birds, which we... More

Due weather circumstances we left our accomodation in Rincon de la Vieja earlier then expected and have to find another place close to Panam Hyw and Liberia. We found this Rancho. Avery nice place to stay. Clean rooms and bathroom, specious, good beds. Excellent patio for relaxation. We found this place a very good alternative to stay. Some noise of... More

Rancho curubandé is a great place to stay. The owner Sergio is a great host and does everything to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are simple but clean. We had only one issue with the cold water in in the shower (only hot) but Sergio took care of it immediately. The breakfast is good and with plenty of fresh... More

Beautiful setting, with clean tidy accommodation. Nice communal space if you wish meet the other guests. Note: before arrival, learn the Spanish for "we have a reservation" as there is no English speakers around during the day. Also, the river, which is a must to visit, is a ten minute walk and not signposted. Walk past the hay barn, and... More

Only stayed here one night for the purpose of hiking Rincon de la Vieja National Park but would have gladly stayed longer. Quiet, restful, modern place on a working ranch in a great location outside of Liberia. Our room was large, clean and comfortable for a reasonable rate and included a very good breakfast. The hosts provided nice, shaded verandas... More

This is a great place. We rented four rooms (two families of five). Rooms are clean and with airco (needed) and wifi. The gardens are great. The owners is very friendly and gave us very usefull information. We went swimming in the pool in the river. Liberia is just five minutes by car and Rincon de la Vieja is half... More

We spent four nights at Rancho Curubande, in one of the two bungalows. We arrived late on New Year's eve (9 PM), and had to let ourselves in as the place appeared deserted except for some dogs. The owner Sergio answered his door after a few knocks, and showed us our place. Sergio is friendly and welcoming. The bungalow was... More

We stayed for one night to visit Rincon National Park. We stayed in one of the motel rooms, clean, basic. Rooms have AC and big bathroom but no hot water. We were the only guests. The woman checking us in was also serving us the breakfast. She only spoke Spanish but we managed to communicate pretty well with our Spanish.... More

When we were there we sat a lot at our patio in front of our house enjoying the birds, squirells etc and of course our big friend Lola... More
