I loved Pablo and Anna and their family and the staff. The food was basic home cooking. I liked the chocolate nib touches at dessert. The cabin is lovely. The downside: the bed was terribly uncomfortable and the shower was barely warm. The road to the property is really bad and I drove 5-10 km an hour. And there's not... More

A very peaceful and attractive Finca. Anna and Pablo are superb hosts with a real interest in their guests and do everything possible to ensure a quality stay. Pablo took us around some of the estate to explain the intricacies of cacao growing and chocolate making which was a real education. The food was excellent, all local ingredients with lovely... We stumbled upon this wonderfully relaxing finca in the forest and enjoyed meeting and conversing with its most hospitable owner/hosts Ana and Pablo. These are the real Ticos, and a great opportunity that you wont find at a hotel or resort. So if you want to get a good feel for the people and the country this would be an... More

Very good: - Excellent food (they really managed well with my diet retstrictions - a big thanks for that!). - Beautiful environment! Really charming! - Restaurant overlooks the farm and you often see beautiful birds while having breakfast. - Pablo was very friendly, always ready with useful advice and told us a lot of interesting stories about Costa Rica and... We spent 3 weeks in Costa Rica last year and our days at La Anita Rainforest Ranch were a real highlight! Pablo and Ana are incredibly lovely people and we really enjoyed having dinner with them. In our long discussions with Pablo we got the chance to learn a lot about Costa Rica and the political situation in Latin America.... More

I read these reviews after l reserved the place (I was looking in another website, not tripadvisor) and I can only but agree with all! The place has been designed and built by Pablo and Ana, two of the most wonderful hosts we've had in Costa Rica! Please, expend some time chatting with them, that's as good as the experience... Wherever you come from it is a rough ride to get to the guest farm. But once you are there you will love the atmosphere and hospitality, the good regional food, the airy and spacious bungalows, and the dedication of Pablo the owner in growing excellent and organic cacao. You will learn a lot about quality food, you will enjoy... More

You have no doubt read numerous glowing reviews of La Anita. They are all true! I have not written a review sooner because I wasn't sure what else to add. La Anita really is an ideal place to stay in Costa Rica. Unlike some other places we visited, the food served was creative and varied from meal to meal and... More

From the first moment we felt very welcome and comfortable. Pablo and Anna are incredibly friendly, the local food was excellent and the calm so relaxing. The bungalows have very nice terraces for relaxing and the restaurant has a beautiful view. We enjoyed a tour through the finca and a refreshing bath in the river as well as some chocolate-tasting... Pablo and his crew made this the most personal stay I've ever had anywhere. The property is like the garden of Eden. The cabins are beautiful and the craftsmanship shows. The meals are out of this world. Enjoyed my conversations with Pablo and his stories about his chocolate. He's passionate about quality. I would steer people away from a day... More
