We did not plan on staying at La Anita but we were very glad we did! Because of a mistake in reservations at another hotel we were given the opportunity to stay here. We did not really know what to expect but we were extremely happy with everything about it. Pablo the owner greeted us when we arrived and made... More

I'm not sure where to start... From arranging everything at the very beginning -this place is a fantastic getaway with no worries once you get there! Ana and Pablo are wonderful people and are so knowledgable about things I enjoyed being in Pablo's company. Ana was out of town but was in contact. They truly care about your experience and... More

Awesome and beautiful place to visit. Every thing about this place is immaculate and very relaxing. The wood work of the cabins is unbelievable Pablo goes out of his way to make sure all the needs of his guests are met. My wife was feeling ill and he had his ladies make up some fresh ginger tea; the ginger was... More

La Anita was very beautiful and relaxing. It was a little different than what I was expecting. I guess I thought it would be a smaller and a more intimate environment. I was told that the Ranch is on about 750 acres. Ana and Pablo are very sensitive to their guests needs and making sure that they can do whatever... More

We love going to Finca Anita. We are residents and over the years we have seen it grow and constantly improve, both in amenities and service. We especially enjoy the Cacao tour and the valuable information that is given about making chocolate. Pablo and Anita are generous people and we highly recommend staying with them or just going for the... More

On arrival at Finca La Anita you immediately feel how special this place is. A long drive past the dry forest of rincon de la vieja to bring you to this fertile farm land surrounded by rainforest. Travelling through some of the small surrounding villages you get a feel of what life in Costa Rica is like and you also... More

My husband and I spent 7 nights at Finca Anita and enjoyed every minute. I agree with other reviewers who comment on the great food, clean cabins, peaceful atmosphere, and natural beauty. I want to expand on a few things. Our hosts, Anna and Pablo, are truly remarkable and made this trip very special. They love their cocoa plantation, the... More

Pablo and Ana might be the best hosts ever, anywhere. Their rainforest ranch is a genuine working farm, emphasizing cacao cultivation and processing, managing every step, from seedling trees to awesome dark chocolate. They made us feel like family from the moment we arrived-holding dinner for us due to our plane arriving late. They had great suggestions for local sights... More

I loved Pablo and Anna and their family and the staff. The food was basic home cooking. I liked the chocolate nib touches at dessert. The cabin is lovely. The downside: the bed was terribly uncomfortable and the shower was barely warm. The road to the property is really bad and I drove 5-10 km an hour. And there's not... More

A very peaceful and attractive Finca. Anna and Pablo are superb hosts with a real interest in their guests and do everything possible to ensure a quality stay. Pablo took us around some of the estate to explain the intricacies of cacao growing and chocolate making which was a real education. The food was excellent, all local ingredients with lovely...
