This is a perfect hotel in a lovely area of California. The lodge and grounds are beautiful, the service is perfect, the rooms are quiet, and the food is very good. It is centrally located to all the attractions on the central California coast. We will stay here again.

Nice, quiet. A bit hot in the room we stayed in, no A/C. Since we were on the second floor we were able to leave the window open, and we left the door open for a while to move the stuffy air out. Stay was otherwise good. Staff very friendly, clean room. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the lodges... More

We (family of four - two teens/two parents) had a one-bedroom, 2 bathroom unit on the second floor of a 4-unit building. The pull out sofa and queen-sized Murphy bed in the living room were perfect for our teenagers (and they had their own bathroom). Beautiful place. You feel away from everything - but Hearst Castle (and sea lions and... More

We definitely wouldn't recommend staying here. Our room had been nicely refurbished but it was small - definitely a double which should not be sold as a quad. The room was very hot and there is no air conditioning. The nearby road was very noisy and due to the heat in the room we couldn't close the double glazed window.... More

Good value accommodation. Big comfortable rooms. Only downside - no air conditioning, however, opened a window and all was OK. Comprehensive breakfast included in the room rate, lovely garden for outside dining. On tip of hill just outside Cambria. Short 5 mins drive to restaurants.

Attended my brother's wedding which was held at this hotel. I choose "very good" because the hotel property itself was very, very nice. The front desk staff was friendly. Arrived at 2:30pm. We were allowed to wait in the pool area until we could check-in at 3pm. Housekeeper on Saturday morning was not very friendly. I greeted her with a... More

The property, overall, looks good. The flower garden is very interesting. The breakfast is above average with high quality food. The room had some issues. The Jacuzzi did not work properly. The jets did not work. Upon check in, the room was 85 degrees. The fireplaces were on, giving off constant heat, despite being turned off. I called to the... More

We had a wonderful time at CPL. As part of our package, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast...both were great! At night, we enjoyed live music in the lounge. We also enjoyed walking the trails. The staff at dinner were gracious. (Thanks Carlos) I would like to bring notice on a couple of things. Idk if it has anything to do... More

We stayed here last night. There were 2 adults and 3 teenagers in our party. The place is older but I would say that it is well kept. We had a "suite" and the "Murphy" bed worked well and the pull out couch wasn't bad. Plenty of room in the suite. I had booked this through Tavel Zoo so it... More

I need to say straight up that this place was not for us. The rooms are large but poorly thought out. & in need of an update. There was a large bathroom in both the rooms we had but still the sink was outside the bath room, there was nowhere to put your stuff (shelves at least guys please!), the... More
