We just returned from our first trip to the Cambria Pines Lodge. We purchased one of the Travelzoo deals which included 2 nights, free breakfast both days, two free dinner entrees, a bottle of wine, and a bogo at a restaurant in town. The value of all of that alone was just great! We arrived in the mid-afternoon, in time... More

I have stayed here twice and each time the service and accommodations have been lovely! There was a slight mix up with my reservation with Get a Room however, the staff corrected it right away. The reservationists gave us an upgrade!

Restaurant was great for supper, excellent food and a very nice selection of drinks. The grounds are wonderful & the staff friendly and accommodating. Our room was nice and clean. Had a nice fireplace (I think they all do). Only drawback is that the walls are paper thin (not to mention the Duraflame logs being stored in the same closet... More

We appreciate the excellent feedback. Our Duraflame logs are supposed to be stored in a location away from other combustibles. We will rectify this error immediately. Our highest concern is for the comfort and safety of all our guests. We hope to see you again soon. More

I've stayed here a few times over the past several years, and here is my assessment. Pros: Professional service. Beautiful gardens and grounds. Great pool. Large room. Comfy beds and linens. Great lounge and entertainment. They've got a kitty!!!! Cons: Breakfast, while extensive, was terrible, bland institutional quality stuff. If you're going to offer it, make it tasty, not just... Thanks for the great "Pros." As for the "Cons," we're surprised you did not like our breakfast, which is prepared fresh in our kitchen each morning. Most of our guests appreciate the variety and taste. Our "shabby chic" furniture seems to be a matter of taste. We are replacing all our older TVs with flat screens within the next month... More

We stopped here for one night after driving down the Big Sur. The lodge we stayed in was huge with a Spa and very clean. All the staff were very friendly. It was really busy and they had a local band playing in the bar. There was plenty of choice for breakfast. We enjoyed our short stay at the Pines... More

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in the deluxe suite. Hearty breakfasts were served every morning in the lodge. The gardens were incredible. Our suite was in an individually spaced craftsman style bungalow. It was beautiful, spacious and well appointed. The grounds were so beautiful that we spent hours exploring the numerous themed gardens on the property.... More

Stayed 2 nights through a Travelzoo special and were very pleased with the room, the food, the staff and especially the beautiful surroundings. The gardens each had a different personality and needed more than one visit. The room was spacious, nice bathroom and a small patio to enjoy the afternoon breeze. Will gladly return!!

This is our second stay at the lodge. The setting is very nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the front staff is efficient and helpful. We had dinner both times at their restaurant. Excellent food both times and good service. The breakfast is also nice. Altogether a very nice experience and we are planning to come back.

NB, we visited in August 2012. Absolutely beautiful setting in a lovely town located halfway up Pacific highway 1. We were on our way from LA to San Francisco and our travel agent (Trailfinders) recommended the Pines Lodge. We were not disappointed, they had a lovely gated swimming pool area, beautiful gardens and the staff were lovely. We ate in... More

This hotel was recommended by a friend and I was very pleased with the result. Check in was quick and painless, the room was spacious and clean, our dinner and breakfast were excellent. The only problem I had was that we only stayed for one night. We will definitely be going back.
