My wife and I, along with another couple, spend two nights at the spacious Cambria Pines Lodge. There are many types of rooms and cabins to chose from. We stayed in a large cabin that had a separate living and dining room area. The bed was very comfortable. The Facilities are located in a mountain area and the ocean is... More

Pros: we got a decent deal when we booked our hotel. It came with a breakfast and dinner. Cambria is an awesome getaway. The staff is great. Very good customer service. Lovely garden. Cons: The standard rooms are standard. Walls are thin. You can hear your neighbor's sneeze. Carpets are a bit worn down. The bed is hard but the... More

We stayed here two nights in a refurbished room: new carpets, updated bathroom. The room had a gas fired fireplace--very cozy and added a nice warmth to the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The only complaint was that the lighting was bad. Not enough lamps in the room. Other reviews said the walls were thin... More

We have been coming here to Cambria Pines every year for at least the last decade. It is up in the pines as the name implies and is a wonderfully comfortable place to stay. The rooms very spacious with a separate sitting room and a kitchenette (fridge and microwave). All rooms have balconies and from the rear units you can... More

We have stayed in this area before, and Cambria Pines is far superior to the cheap place on the ocean we used before. It isn't on the beach, but the grounds are beautifully designed and maintained. A very nice nursery is next door and worth exploring. Our room needed updating, and the walls were thin, but fortunately our neighbors were... More

Here for two nights while touring on Route 1. Situated in the hills above the pleasant little town of Cambria, in grounds of several acres. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but not luxurious. The public rooms likewise are rather characterless. Service was polite but perfunctory. The buffet breakfast, for a large hotel, was very limited in terms of choice;... More

This Moonstone property has cabin-like rooms that seem to be nestled into the forest. It sits at a higher elevation that the city of Cambria and several blocks east of Pacific Coast Highway. The room was modestly furnished but very comfortable. We had a full kitchen with all the needed plates, glasses, utensils, skillets and pots. Our room took up... More

The Cambria Pines Lodge is a pleasant enough property, with nice views, pretty grounds and friendly staff. That said, it reminded us of a lodge from maybe 40 years ago, with dated rooms and amenities. If you are going for nostalgia, this is the place, and maybe that's what some people seek in charming Cambria. More specifically, we stayed in... More

The lodge itself is lovely and I love the fact that they are trying to be eco-friendly. The friendly staff accommodated early check in quite efficiently. However, getting to the lodge itself was a bit confusing particularly if the lodge/cottage is located towards the back. Since it gets foggy at night, it is even harder to locate the particular cottage... More
