This Moonstone property has cabin-like rooms that seem to be nestled into the forest. It sits at a higher elevation that the city of Cambria and several blocks east of Pacific Coast Highway. The room was modestly furnished but very comfortable. We had a full kitchen with all the needed plates, glasses, utensils, skillets and pots. Our room took up... More

The Cambria Pines Lodge is a pleasant enough property, with nice views, pretty grounds and friendly staff. That said, it reminded us of a lodge from maybe 40 years ago, with dated rooms and amenities. If you are going for nostalgia, this is the place, and maybe that's what some people seek in charming Cambria. More specifically, we stayed in... More

The lodge itself is lovely and I love the fact that they are trying to be eco-friendly. The friendly staff accommodated early check in quite efficiently. However, getting to the lodge itself was a bit confusing particularly if the lodge/cottage is located towards the back. Since it gets foggy at night, it is even harder to locate the particular cottage... More

Your nestled up in the pines of Cambria surrounded by gardens, wildlife, and not to mention a great pool and hot tub! When we arrived on Monday night we were told by the Moonstone agent via phone that we had one of their newly renovated suites as we requested. But, to our surprise we were put in one of their... I am a 5star hotel junkie and while this is not 5 stars – there is so much to love here. This was a girlfriend getaway where we stayed in the deluxe cottage that was cozy, comfortable and quiet (we slept with the windows open) . We loved the sitting room with the fireplace and the great mattresses. The bedroom... More

We stayed at the Cambria Pines Lodge over Valentine’s Weekend and had a wonderful time. It was our first trip to Cambria and loved it. Overall the Lodge was nice, the gardens beautiful, breakfast plentiful and the staff friendly. Our room was on the first floor, very spacious but OMG the walls are paper thin, and the ceiling even thinner.... More

We have been coming back to Cambria Pines for a couple of years now. It is truly a find on the coast. When you can get one of the on-line deals that include a dinner it is exceptional. The grounds are amazing, lot's of gardens to get lost in. The pool is nice and the jacuzzi after a day of... More

If you are nostalgic & loved the 50-60's you might just love the Cambria Pines Lodge. The original formica countertops in your bathroom; the original carpet; space-heater built into the wall if you dare turn on the fire-hazard, will have you going..."ahhhhh, deja vu all over again?" Yet the fireplace in the Lodge with river rock; the local rock-to-your favorite... More

We're glad you enjoyed the Fireside Lounge, breakfast buffet, and gardens. For the record, many of our rooms and suites have tile counter tops. We are in the process of replacing carpets throughout the property; as of now, almost all of our suites have new carpets, with other rooms to follow in the next few months. Our older rooms have... We had the deluxe suite with a balcony view to the forest, two fireplaces, and two large TVs . The rooms were very spacious. It would have also have been perfect for a family with its wall bed and a sofa bed in the living area. The gardens were wonderful and even in mid winter there were many blooms. We... More
