We spent a one night turn around trip from the Central Valley in California in Cambria to pick up wines from our wine clubs in the Paso Robles, CA area. The special coupon run in the Bakersfield California newspaper was a $129 hotel rate with a dinner for two with a bottle of wine plus a delicious breakfast buffet. With... More

Around $200.00 for the "Eat:Taste:Shop" package for the two of us for one night. It included dinner with a bottle of wine, hot breakfast, wine tasting with a $20.00 coupon. The room was a fireplace room forest view with two queen beds. The room did not have a microwave or mini-fridge but did have a coffee maker jammed right next... More

The cat sleeping on the couch is a perfect mascot for this quaint hotel. Don't expect super efficiency or high energy. But if you're looking for a laid back place, with a feel of the 70's, in the midst of greenery... then this is an excellent choice. The bar and restaurant had a crowd with an avg age of 60... More

This is our second stay in three years. The meals are excellent. The grounds are beautiful. The trail into Cambria makes you feel back in time. We found a deal at Travelzoo for $199. This included 2 nights room, complimentary dinner one night at Pines, and breakfast both mornings. Plus 1/2 off dinner at Linn's. One word sums up all meals... More

If you call in and book. a room they will over charge tog, lure Abbott cancellation policies, then pretend you have no idea what you are talking about when your reservation time comes and the girl actually said "Well, how can I know what someone else told you, this is the price/policy today" um, well, I know because your co-worker... We are very sorry that you are upset about the cancellation fee and highly regret that you did not receive an e-mail confirmation. The reservationist who booked your room has assisted our valued guests in making thousands of reservations over the course of many years. She explains our 72-hour cancellation policy clearly during every reservation. We care about all of... More

We dined in the restaurant (make a reservation) after waiting in the lounge as they were running a little late. Food and service was great but somehow we were given someone else's check, which we signed and left. Subsequently the staff contacted us, explained what had happened and it was all resolved. (Our check was more than the other's) There... More

Cambria and this hotel just out of the town were like rewinding 30 years, in a good way. Everything about this hotel was good, especially the breakfast and the gardens. The interior was a bit tired and in need of a refurbishment, but nice and comfortable all the same.

This property offers just about everything. Rooms are large, many with fireplaces. On our second stay with them, we happened to nab a super deal for $199 per couple through Travelzoo. Two nights, one dinner and daily breakfast at the Pines Lodge, then a 2 for 1 dinner at Linn's - ZOWEY! All great food! Not to be missed were... More

I highly recommend you get the deluxe suite or higher. It is basically a detached apartment with a bedroom and living room with a fireplace in each room. You have your own patio that looks into a wooded area. A nice surprise is seeing deer up close passing through. The grounds are very relaxing and have short trails to walk... More

I stayed here for two nights mid-week and had a good time. The grounds are really nice, with beautiful gardens to explore. Having breakfast included each morning was a bonus and they put out a wide spread: hot food; bacon, sausages, eggs etc; plus one morning was pancakes, another was biscuits and gravy; there's oatmeal, cereal, breakfast breads and some...
