My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the J. Patrick House this week for three nights. We extended our stay by a day as we enjoyed it so much. Cheryl the Inn Keeper is fantastic and breakfast each day was a treat. We arrived just in time for a wine & cheese gathering that takes place each... More

The bed and breakfast was very well kept, although there were odd decorating choices and the place was transitioning to new ownership. The new owner let us know that things were in the middle of changing, some of which was done while we were there, which was a little odd. The rooms were nice--the fireplace was a great addition--but the... More

We stayed at the J. Patrick House on the day of ownership change. Nothing distracted from a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious and well decorated. The breakfast was beyond the ordinary "full English/Scottish/American" breakfast. Nice touches included a very nice afternoon wine/cheese/snack service and evening cookies. The owners, previous and present, were very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Location... More

The Inn was quiet, comfortable, and made for a relaxing stay. The rooms were old but reasonably well maintained. Ours had a fireplace which was nice. The wine tasting at night was interesting and gave us an opportunity to meet the new owner and her assistant. They have ambitious plans to upgrade the facility but we thought that very little... This place just changed ownership. We enjoyed our visit except for a few things. The owner should have kept all the 'behind the scenes' information as to what all she had to do to the place to herself. People come to get away on vacation, not hear about all the problems and fixes they need to do. Also, didn't care... More

We stayed here as a stop over on our drive up the PCH and visit at Hearst Castle. We received the most genuine welcome when we arrived and felt like we were visiting friends. We found that the B&B was purchased earlier in the month. The new owner and her friend have many plans to upgrade the structure and furnishings... More

J. Patrick House is a bed and breakfast in a quiet neighborhood. It’s not near the ocean, but it is walkable to the main part of Cambria, although most people drive due to the steepness and lack of sidewalks. The rooms are comfortable and well-worn. They are the sort of rooms your relatives might put you up in. My room... More

I really was surprised Trip Advisor recommended this as a top BB. When first pulling in I wasn't super impressed and it didn't have a cozy feel as there are a lot of rooms and had a motel like feel. The owner hires help and was no where to be seen. We paid $190 and I have stayed in much... More

I went on a trip with my mother back in March of 2013. I love staying at Bed and Breakfast places, but this one had a personal touch to it. The owner baked the main dish and served yogurt with his own granola. He also had scones with jelly, coffee, and juice. You get full and are happy to be... More

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the J. Patrick House. Reading through some of the recent reviews, I think some people don't know what to expect from a B&B. It's not a restaurant. They serve the breakfast they have planned for the day. And here, in my opinion, it is a very yummy and filling breakfast. John... More
