We chose the Blue Whale Inn for a special occasion, and contacted the property by telephone months in advance, to book a specific room. The Blue Whale website gives a detailed description of each room, and describes two of the rooms as being "favorites - booked well in advance" . We picked one of the "favorite" rooms, and were told... more

We LOVE this B & B! We have stayed 3 times over the last 5 years and we live in NJ! We stayed there with the old owners and now with the new management. We found that things are just as wonderful, in fact some things have been upgraded. They have put a Microwave Oven, Coffee Maker, and Cups/spoons,etc, in... more

When we booked the Blue Whale Inn for one night, we knew that it was more expensive than the other places we had booked in Monterey and Sonoma but convinced ourselves that it wuld be something really special. I have to say that we were slightly disappointed. Moonstone Drive in Cambria is on the spectacular ocean front. We, perhaps naively,... more

The inn was beautiful with breathtaking views of the ocean from the main house. You get to eat the excellent breakfast while watching the waves crash! In the afternoon they provide fresh baked cookies. Yummy! The wine and appetizers in the evening was also relaxing - and filling. We ended up being too full to eat dinner. The service couldn't... more

My husband and I have been fortunate in being able to travel often during our 40 years of marriage and we recently spent our anniversary weekend at the Inn. We found everything in order, a very clean, beautifully decorated room, gorgeous common room and well-maintained grounds. The web-site was accurate. However, we must commend the Innkeppers, Jay and Karen, for... more

We just arrived home yesterday after spending three wonderful nights at the Blue Whale Inn. Our room (#4) had great views of the ocean, the king size canopy bed was incredibly comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was amazing. Every morning we walked along the boardwalk, returning in time to enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by either Vy or Karen. We... more

Would I stay here again? You bet. In fact it has become a "birthday" treat for myself, and a welcomed getaway for my wife and I both over the past 4years (many times twice a year). We have stayed previously at other properties in Cambria, and NONE compare to the Blue Whale. I have colleagues who have stayed at other... more

We stayed at the Blue Whale Inn for three nights recently and have only good things to say about our experience. The Inn is charming and extremely comfortable, but there are a couple of things that make the stay extraordinary. Those two things are Jay and Karen. The warmth and thoughtfulness of both Karen and Jay really set the Blue... more

We've stayed in several inns and B&Bs in Cambria over the years, as Cambria is my favorite get-away destination. We were considering the Blue Whale Inn for this visit, based on its own website as well as TripAdvisor reader review, many of which proclaim "PERFECT!" When we called the Inn to inquire, we listened to a recorded message touting early... more

We spent one night at Blue Whale Inn on our way down to San Diego. We loved it. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the last room and found it to be quiet. There is just a tiny peek of the water from the front window so you do have to step outside to enjoy the... more
