We stayed here in July 2014, our last night before leaving from Los Angeles. I thought I had booked a cute place that would be nice for our last night. It had a lick of paint in groovy colors which deceived me, but after our stay we felt we had paid more than double what it was worth. We did... More

After a couple nights in bleak clip joints we were pleased and relieved to finally land here. Clean, simple, quality furnishings. Quiet. King bed, extra blanket and pillow. Nice garden spot outside to sit and think. 2 minute walk to dog park, 5 minute walk to great dinner at Robin's. The cost to stay here is more than fair.

We actually upgraded to a queen suite, which was located at the back of the property behind the fire pit. It had a lovely patio with chair and table. It was unseasonably warm, but typical of the area, it did cool down at night. It's a nice short walk to downtown. We loved sitting outside enjoying the night air. When... More

One of the most inexpensive motels in the area and we were looking for just that as it was just a stopping point on a motorcycle ride home. However, this place could use a little TLC and a few minor touches to fix things like broken toilet seats, broken drain in the shower and the rust running down the wall... More

We came across the Palms motel while scouring for a place in Cambria. We arrived late and without a booking. We were dealt with promptly and by 2 very friendly members of staff. the rooms were smallish but roomy enough for three of us to not be on top of each other. The bathroom was small and a little outdated... More

We stayed here for one night on our drive down the coast. The hotel is very clean and close to places to eat. The price was very good compared to others in the area. Since we knew we would probably check in late this hotel worked out great for us. The only problem I could see if you were traveling... More

The Cambria Palms does some things very well and others not-so-good. It depends what is important to you. Hits/Does Well: 1) check-in quick and friendly 2) beds and pillows are clean, good linens and comfortable 3) room size not large but comfortable 4) walking distance to the east-side village Misses/Not-so-good 1) shower pressure was very weak 2) bathroom molding dirty... Agree with the other reviewers that this is a smaller and older property. However, it's been kept very well and from the appearances of our room, it appears that it has been renovated sometime in the past several years. The rooms don't have air conditioning and are pretty small, but are exactly what we needed during the tourist season for... More

We arrived at the Cambria Palms later in the evening and were cheerfully greeted by Julie on the front desk. This motel is a great stopping point on the drive down Highway 1 between Monterey Bay and Los Angeles, serving as a great base for exploring Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seal beaches. We only stayed for one night and... More
