We stayed a night at The Mariner's Inn and were impressed with the friendly welcome, good price and great location. When we were walking around the town we were greeted by Penelope, who had just finished work, and she helped us by recommending where to go and how to understand Cambria. In the morning we were watching whales as we... More

We arrived and I was immediately talking to one of the women who works there about her dog. (Buddy McDogus is his name) ;-). That was a good and welcoming sign for our two night stay. This little inn isn't fancy. They're going to do some floor remodeling soon. That is needed. Aside from that, it's charming and pretty cute.... More

We came through Cambria on our road trip and stayed in the Mariners Inn for a night. We had a great room for a reasonable price, the check in was very friendly and service perfect. The recommened restaurant was delicious. Location is..just wow..right by the ocean!!! The next morning we had a great breakfast -view on the ocean and small... More

We had been coming to mariner's Inn for last 20 years.we love this place and the new management staff. Especially Diana and Penelope. They were very helpful and frendly. We love the new decor and rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Our dogs love going for walks along the walkway across from the Inn,which is easy access to the... More

We had no reservations and scouted around on Moonstone Beach Drive for a hotel for one night, prior to visiting Hearst's Castle the next morning. Even though almost all the hotels had lots of vacancies, they would not budge on price. Mariners advertises as the lowest priced place on the beach. Though decidedly low to middle end (the beach front... More

Stayed here for two nights this past week, chose the king with an ocean view. The view is fabulous, but the room was not very clean upon arrival. First were the cob webs by the door as you walk in, then the floor seemed like it was in need of a cleaning. The bed was quite comfortable and the ladies... More

This motor lodge is now under new ownership and was $60 cheaper than comparables on the same drive. Clean, quaint, renovated with a funk factor in mind, the included continental breakfast was a nice perk. Friendly staff here, but its budget withan eye toward cool and not pretentious. I only wished they left the exterior marine blue instead of repainting... More

Noisy! Location-Great location in front of the ocean. Reception-Friendly and helpful. Breakfast –Very nice spread for a continental. Served in a very badly decorated lobby that also looks dirty. Room-Not that great, but less expensive than the rest in front of the beach. We are traveling without reservations because we have no plan. So, no time to review places beforehand.... More

Decided to leave the valley for the weekend, The Mariner's Inn was well within our budget and the biggest draw was the walking distance to the beach just feet away. The continental breakfast was a big plus, we definitely plan on going back!

We arrived in Cambria with no reservations and checked with all the hotels for their last minute deals. Tip- in the offseason months, ALL of them have specials for walk-ins. Mariners is the first place on the stretch, low key, with one sea facing room. We took the sea facing room :) - it has a new really comfy bed,... More
