My husband and I rented a motorcycle and headed South on the PCH with no idea where we would end....until we got to Cambria! Beautiful little seaside town! We stopped by a few of the hotels along Moonstone and although each has it's own charm, nothing compared to the Pelican Inn! From the moment we entered the lobby and were... More

Stayed at the Pelican a couple of years ago and loved it so much we decided to make it another overnight stop whilst traveling up the PCH. This time we had a room with full ocean view and sat on our balcony, watching a beautiful sunset. The room was clean and comfortable, the afternoon wine and nibbles a lovely touch... More

I planned a two day drive up the coast from LA to San Fran, staying overnight somewhere in Cambria (which is about halfway) and I'm glad that I chose the Pelican Inn. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable (had a second floor room, partial view of ocean with a nice small balcony). The staff were super friendly, especially Christine... More

Nicely furbished inn on Moonstone Beach in Cambria, CA. Breakfast and happy hour included in the price of the room. First floor room had patio overlooking the ocean. Board walk along the shoreline with stunning views and easy access to the beach.

The end of our holidays was here and I honestly can't think of a better place! The room was huge, its wi-fi very quick and the service absolutely kind to us... not to talk about the beautiful sights! I wish we had been there for a bit longer!

I think people are enamored and blinded by the romance and beauty of moonstone beach and Cambria in general. This hotel isn't very nice or safe for that matter. The decor is modern and updated but its wearing poorly, stained, nicked furniture etc. The check-in wasnt particularly friendly. Oh early check in, that's a no, the front desk implied we... More

The Pelican Inn is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Our oceanfront room had a balcony AND switch controlled fireplace - very fancy. The boardwalk in front of the hotel makes for a sweet early morning run on a summers day and the location is a regular stop for dolphins. We saw a school of at... More

We loved our short stay at the Pelican from the friendly checkin with fresh baked cookies to the modern and spacious 2 BR suite that we got upgraded to. The room rate includes a 5-7pm wine, cheese, salami, olives and tiny cheesecake spread and a full breakfast with options like eggs, ham, waffles, muffins, cereals and fruit - more than... More

Our room faced the ocean with the waves gently rolling in the background. Generous size and modern room. Bathroom a little cramped but we'll appointed. The topper was the full buffet style breakfast in the morning and the wine and appetizer spread in the evening. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pricey but a very good experience overall.

We had a wonderful time in our ocean view suite, at the wine tasting from 5 - 7 PM, and at the delicious breakfast every morning. The room and amenities were delightful for the whole family. And the employees were always available and extremely hospitable. The perfect family retreat and vacation spot for hiking along the beach and watching beautiful... More
