The room was small but very cute. The location is nice and quiet. I have only one major complaint, there were stains on the sheets. I don't care if the sheet is clean or not, a hotel should never use stained linens. Other than that the hotel was well appointed. The checkin staff was great. The gave us ample information... more

My husband and I just got back from a weekend gateway to Cambria. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and this hotel was perfect for just that. Pelican Cove Inn is great. We had an ocean view suite, with a fireplace, and a small patio. Our room also included a nice breakfast buffet, afternoon wine tasting, and an evening dessert... more

The hotel sits right across the street from beautiful Moonstone beach. Their ocean view rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and very peaceful with patios/balconies. The room color palate, fireplace and bed make it very romantic. The bed was soft and comfortable and the rooms were unbelievably quiet. It was easy to fall asleep, we could not hear any outside noise... more

I'm not sure if I'm missing something. I didn't find the place to be that spectacular. I had very high expectations based on reviews and the AAA rating. It's basically a Holliday Inn express with cuter furnishings, patio and a fireplace. This is just an average or slightly above average 3 star hotel. It offers a great location but so... more

Just spent a night there. It took the maint man 4 tries to keep our fireplace working. Everything worked in the bathroom, but it was showing its age. We booked a room with a patio and discovered that the afternoon and evening breeze makes for a chilly session but we were determined to get our $$$ worth, and once fortified... more

Read the reviews on this website and could have been more pleased. Our room was ready at 1:00 so we had plenty of time to walk along the beach! The room (patio overlooking the water) was very pretty...a step down living room made it nice to read on the couch. The bed was huge and the bathroom had a jacuzzi... more

Most of the reviews that I read were very complimentary, but the few nay-sayers had me a little worried. However, our experience from check-in through check-out was nothing short of fantastic! The room was very cozy and inviting. After reading about lack of air- conditioning, I was fully prepared to handle the control of temperature through the night. Though the... more

We have stayed at the Pelican Cove Inn many times, even hosting a 70th birthday reunion for high school friends. There were 14 of us then and we had a wonderful 5 days! People from out of state were totally awestruck, and several couples have been back since they enjoyed it so much. We always stay in the same ocean... more

Loved everything about this hotel: Room, view, breakfast, staff, location, parking, wine and cheese etc... Bonus was that its right on Moonstone beach and we saw lots of sea lions, pleasant surprise. more

We had a great room! There was a partial ocean view w/a great bay window to relax in. The room was pretty big and good looking. The staff was very accommodating. I loved that there was a complimentary breakfast buffet, wine hour, and dessert hour! The woman working in the dining room was very helpful and nice! Overall, the price... more
