Moonstone Beach is one of my favorite places to get away to. It's a good way to break the trip between SF & LA. I've stayed in a number of the hotels on the stretch and Fogcatcher Inn was always my favorite. But this time I noticed the gardens were let go. So on the return trip I stayed at... More

We have stayed at the Sea Otter Inn multiple times now, including once for our wedding. They have always been very accomodating, even when we've brought our dog along. The rooms are always very well kept, the beds are comfy, and I always like the shampoo/conditioner/soap dispensers in the showers. The location is obviously great. If you can afford it,... More

I took my guy to Sea Otter Inn for his 50th birthday and it was wonderful. The room was clean and well appointed. Right across from the ocean with adirondack chairs to sit and and vegetate and watch the sunset. It was very relaxing and quiet which was what we both were looking for. The only things I can suggest... More

Every fall we travel up to Cambria and stay at this charming motel on Moonstone Beach. Just steps away from the ocean board walk. Nothing special about the rooms unless you stay in one of their suites but each room does have a fireplace heater. Very hospitable staff.

Right across from the ocean, friendly and helpful staff and it is locally owned and operated I highly recommend an ocean view room with your own private patio facing the ocean, it also has a spacious beautiful room with a king-size bed. We had breakfast on our patio and took a walk on the pier on the cliff overlooking the... More

We love Cambria. We've visited more than a dozen times. This was our first stay at the Sea Otter. I loved the proximity to the boardwalk. Our family enjoyed a walk in the rain! You can hear the ocean crashing on the beach. It's magic. If you want a quaint, charming hotel, this is the place.

This is are 4th stay at Sea Otter Inn. I love this Inn because it is so close to Moonstone beach. I can walk across the street and follow the path right down to the ocean. This Inn is directly across from the tide pools. Every morning my son and I walk down collect shells and check out the sea... More

We took a chance on driving up to Cambria from Los Angeles on a Monday in May without a reservation and drove through Cambria's Main Street first. We saw a few motels on Main St. that would of been adequate, but decided to drive another mile or two and ended up on Moonstone Beach. The location is excellent with a... More

Just returned from a two night stay at the Sea Otter Inn. We were pleasantly surprised with the Inn. Check in was super easy and we were settled in our room within minutes. The room came equipped with a working gas fireplace and a back patio. We ate our breakfast every morning on the patio in the warm sun. Breakfast... More
