Motel style inn. No AC as seems to be standard in most places along the coast. Very clean. Cute room with a fireplace. Located directly across the road from the sea with a nice Boardwalk along the shore for strolling. Chairs positioned for sunset viewing among the nice landscaping. Good continental breakfast included. Has a pool and a hot tub... More

We have been staying at this motel every year for the past ten years plus. We love the small town charm of Cambria and the ability to stay a few hundred feet from the ocean. Over the years, the owners have upgraded the rooms, pool and jacuzzi. The rooms come equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave and fireplace. We enjoy... More

An average motel in Cambria. Not good. Not bad. Just there. Room was a bit old & tired. Shower a bit weird. Breakfast needs special mention: help yourself at reception to a lucky dip of pastries, muffins, cereal etc then take it back to your room to eat. Really just depends when you go as to what you'll get. We... More

We arrived in the early evening, and were excited to have reached our destination. Unfortunately, the young brown haired lady at the desk was apathetic and bordering on rude. I am positive she never made eye contact, let alone "welcomed" us. Asides from that the converted motel was pleasant. The room was clean, and the fpl and patio with two... More

After hearing from friends and family that Cambria wasn't exactly a destination, we were expecting most of the town and the hotel to be fairly ragged. We couldn't have expected further from the truth! This hotel has been tastefully re-done with fresh paint and furniture as well as beautiful landscaping and interesting flowers all the way around. There are some... More

I was a bit concerned when I booked my room as it was the only room I could find in this area, However upon arrival I was relieved. The lady at the front desk was very sweet. The motel has a nice cozy feel to it. The grounds are nicely landscaped with flowers and the facility is in very good... More

I was on a road trip up the coast with my 14 year old daughter and stayed here our first night. We love Moonstone Beach and Cambria. It was right across the street from the water so we could hear the waves at night. Very nice clean room with comfortable beds. Also loved the landscaping, really added charm. It was... More

We spent one night at the Sea Otter Inn on our road trip from LA to San Fran. This was a wonderful stop to enjoy the beauty of the water. We could hear the waves in the evening from our hotel room as the water was right across the street. Hotel was within walking distance to several restaurants. The hotel... More

This is a quaint little inn, right across from the beach. Nothing along that stretch of road is economy, so be prepared to pay. The rooms were comfortable but not roomy. You're only there to sleep, so no big deal. The heat if needed is via a gas fireplace. There is no air conditioning, but was not an issue as... More
