Absolutely loved this place. The continental breakfast was great and had a very nice selection. Loved the Kuirig coffee maker in the room. And also loved the spa, hot tub, underground parking & wine tasting and entertainment!!! There were deer right outside our window and next to the hotel. It was a wonderful relaxing stay. :)

We checked into our $250+ a night Jacuzzi King room in this supposed "spa hotel" and were instantly disappointed. The room was small and underwhelming; we explained at reception that the website is very misleading and we were moved to a slightly better room. Having brought wine from our wine country exploring we couldn't believe it when we discovered that... More

When you live in the hot Central California Valley, summers are relentless. Everyone here enjoys a summer outing to the Central Coast to cool off. We recently spent the night at the El Colibri Hotel and Spa, located at the entry to Moonstone Beach in Cambria. The accomodations are clean and comfortable with multple cultural undertones (Latino, Buddhist, Hindu...). The... More

stayed for 1 night at this hotel in may as part of a tour down the west coast - the staff were very friendly, and the rooms were great - open plan with a fire & jacuzzi bath. also made use of the outside spa & booked a massage there, which was very relaxing & needed after a long drive!... More

I'm not one of those guests that complains to hotel management. I don't like confrontation. Especially when I'm really angry. I can let things go usually. I'm not picky. BUT, I should have complained or spoke up for myself. My Boyfriend and I were really excited to stay at El Colibri because the pictures of the rooms were right up... More

We stayed at the El Colibri for two nights in late June. It was a perfect, relaxing stop. The room was large, beautiful and very quiet. Our room backed up to a green forest giving us total privacy. We walked the boardwalk to Moonstone Beach, but the actual steps down to the beach were too steep for me to handle,... More

A beautiful hotel just a short walk from moonstone beach and across the road from the picturesque little town of Cambria. We stayed for two nights in a jacuzzi room which turned out to be the perfect way to relax on our trip from San Francisco and Los Angeles. The room was perfect, with an enormous double bed, sofa and... More

Wound up here after trying unsuccessfully to find a handicap accessible room. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable with a fireplace and flatscreen! Jacuzzi , wine tasting in lobby when we arrived. Price was right and included a continental breakfast to rival no other! Fresh sliced bannas and other fruits etc.

Stayed here while in town for a friends wedding. The town of Cambria is very cute and the hotel was a pleasant place to stay. The hotel itself it very pretty, the location although not directly on the beach was excellent, and the rooms were very nice. The continental breakfast was serviceable, but I recommend heading into town for pastries.... More
