A beautiful hotel just a short walk from moonstone beach and across the road from the picturesque little town of Cambria. We stayed for two nights in a jacuzzi room which turned out to be the perfect way to relax on our trip from San Francisco and Los Angeles. The room was perfect, with an enormous double bed, sofa and... More

Wound up here after trying unsuccessfully to find a handicap accessible room. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable with a fireplace and flatscreen! Jacuzzi , wine tasting in lobby when we arrived. Price was right and included a continental breakfast to rival no other! Fresh sliced bannas and other fruits etc.

Stayed here while in town for a friends wedding. The town of Cambria is very cute and the hotel was a pleasant place to stay. The hotel itself it very pretty, the location although not directly on the beach was excellent, and the rooms were very nice. The continental breakfast was serviceable, but I recommend heading into town for pastries.... More

Great hotel, great continental breakfast offered, the fire alarm went off for about 3 mins at around 9 am and my boyfriend was not thrilled but all-in-all it was a great trip. I love that they offer covered parking.

This boutique hotel was such a great find! It was a beautiful place to stay-beautiful outlook and the staff were very helpful and friendly (even when we didn't read the instructions for the TV and had to call for help!). We stayed here as a one-night stop as our half-way point on the San Fran to LA drive, my only... More

Like others have stated, this place is very new'ish and clean and very well appointed. Just don't stay in room 201. Period. Or maybe 101 or 202. It faces the street the hotel is on as well as the 1, so the cars are loud and especially the motorcycles. We realize we could've asked for another room but we got... More

Thank you for staying with us and I appreciate your opinion on selecting guest rooms. El Colibri was designed--mostly --to face the quiet of Santa Rosa Creek and Reserve. It is great advice to have guests call the hotel to confer on reserving so we get them into the room they will like the best. 201 has a large semi... More

My husband and I just returned from a romantic one night stay at El Colibri. I wish I could have stayed longer! The hotel staff was very accommodating and offered right away to schedule dinner reservations or tickets for Hearst castle for us. We spent our evening in the common area and did a wine tasting and listened to fabulous... More

After doing an extensive search on the internet for hotels in the area, we were a bit discouraged to see that there were no good reviews for hotels, or shall I say, the hotels right on the coast. Each review said something about "out-dated, run down, smelly". I thought to myself that we might have to give up going to... More

Dear Friends: Really, hotels should be paying you to stay.. Our staff really had a great time serving you. This review was another bonus. So..... we went out and got a princess bed for your puppy and will work on biscuits. We have a one time fee for pets, and spend it in keeping the room fit for a queen.... More

El Colibri was great!! Great customer service. The room were very clean. Very quite! Parking was great & free! The only drawback there was no refrigerator or microwave in the suite. If you stay at this hotel..Check out the stream room =) I love that you have your privacy with a locked door. For those of you haters..Go stay at... More

Prior to spending six nights here I read everyone of the reviews. After digesting all of the comments I was a bit concerned. My concerns quickly dissipated - check in was great the room was exactly as pictured. It was nicely appointed and had a very fresh look to it. There was one review here where they complained that one... More
