The staff is so helpful and friendly. This is a wonderful place to stay in a fantastic location. The beach is right around the corner and downtown Cambria is minutes away. This is definitely well worth a stay!! The beds are ultra comfortable, the rooms are wide and spacious, with lots of sitting areas

Situated just outside the main drag of Camria, but more importantly, just at the end of the Moonestone Beach Road, El Colibri, was plasant, friendly, clean and with super friendly smiling people at the front desk and bar. The best feature was the fireplace in our room ! We chose this due to having a hard time getting a room... More

My wife and I were driving the coast highway for our 15th anniversy, and we stayed here for 2 nights in april 2014. This is a wonderful place. Very comfortable beds, large rooms, and nice staff. They gave us good directions to find resturants and made sure they were actually open (this was the off season and they can close... More

We booked this hotel last minute when the property we previously booked indicated that we may have an issue due to someone in our party who had allergies to pets. I have to tell you, so thrilled we stayed here! Extremely beautiful, spacious room! Really comfortable beds, great fireplace, large and beautiful bathroom. Lovely spaces on the first floor for... Room had a low-flow showerhead (took awhile to rinse shampoo), both TV's were inoperative (DirectTV service had expired), wifi was free but spotty (and no wired internet), no fitness room, no pool, no fridge, no safe. Not much of a "spa" despite the name (just a few private rooms with scented lotions and a masseuse on call). Staff was very... More

My husband and I wanted to spend our 5 year wedding anniversary on the coast. I spent weeks researching hotel after hotel from Santa Barbara to San Simeon. The El Colibri Hotel and Spa met almost all of my criteria. I prefer boutique hotels to chains always so I looked for the best one I could find. We wanted to... More

Booked our stay based upon the fact that they advertised an in-room fireplace. It should have also noted that it is the only source of heat for the room as well. Bathroom has so little usable counter space we ended up using the floor for our personal items. There was no place in the shower to put anything other than... More

I booked this place to celebrate a romantic birthday get-away. Place was way below expectations and what was advertised on line. Much nicer places in town. I got the romance package and wouldn't waste my money again. Tiny heart of rose petals with 3 small squares of chocolate ( like you would get at a chain hotel) and a blend... More

Great locale - 5 min walk across Hwy 1 into the West Village or same in opposite direction to beach. Newest property in Cambria - clean, well appointed rooms, friendly staff. Wine tasting in the evening.

We automatically felt very comfortable at this hotel. Nice staff, friendly atmosphere. Very relaxing. We stayed in a King Suite corner room in the back. Nice room. Fireplace in the bedroom area. Very romantic feel. They have a nice continental breakfast. Nothing spectacular, but adequate. One of the nights we were there, they had a live musician with wine tasting.
