Hotel is close to beaches and Hearst Castle. My room was really nice and the large tub and separate shower was very inviting. Love the single serve coffee maker and luckily I brought some of my favorite flavors with me. I splurged on the aromatherapy massage which was wonderful and will definitely stay again. I’ve been searching for a reasonable... More

I enjoyed my one night stay with my boyfriend here. The rooms were very nice. There was a steam room and hot tub that was open very late. My room had a great soaking tub. I thought it was really nice that the front desk gave us a flash light when we wanted to walk to a restaurant at night.... More

Easy walk to the beach, the rooms were quiet and very nice. We got a one bedroom suite and had a very comfortable night's stay. Bathroom was very nice and the bed was awesome! This place has AC which we found to be rare at many of the hotels on the coast.

My hubby and I are always looking for new places to stay during our travels. Our recent trip to Cambria was our most recent. We stayed at the El Colibri Hotel and Spa. We booked a "suite" which wasn't too sweet. No refrigerator, no bottled water. Maybe we're too picky? The bed was super comfortable, which was well needed after... More

We stayed at this hotel August 9th-11th. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cost was much less in comparison to the hotel 1/2 mile down the road. This hotel does not have ocean views, but we liked the view of trees behind the hotel. It's very close to the ocean, shopping, food... More

Spa like setting and small (32 rooms?) hotel. Very quiet, nice cozy bedding. Our room had a sink and a fireplace and a very nice bathroom with big tub. A frig would have been nice. Hot tub... WAY too hot. Nice spa, decent breakfast with good coffee. Loved the fresh roses everywhere. Underground parking. Great location... on Moonstone drive but... More

We arrived early to El Colibri and were told we could check in which was nice. There was underground parking and a luggage cart to help us carry everything to our room. Also nice. But our room was only OK. No privacy around the jacuzzi tub - it was out in the open between the bed and bath. The closet... More

Love this quaint little hotel. Cute, clean & reasonably priced with free breakfast & within walking distance to the beach & the downtown. Our room was on the end, it was quiet, we kept our windows open the entire time, the cool breeze is heavenly & you can hear the waves in the distance. The room was huge with a... More

This little gem is not right on the water but it is at the start of the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk so nicely located between the Town of Cambria and the beach. Room was adequate size, nicely appointed and quiet. Underground free parking felt secure. Provided breakfast was not cook to order but had a number of choices. Overall a very... More

On two former trips we had stayed in motels across from the water on Moonstone Beach; both times there was too much noise. The best thing about the El Colibri is the peace and quiet. We had a small room with a comfortable bed and a view of the woods around the motel. The room's wood furnishings were stylish (which... More
