Quaint, little cottage style hotel in downtown Cambria. Our room was on the second floor which had a balcony that faced the forrest which was a beautiful sight. At night we could hear the frogs and crickets from the creek below and the morning we could see deer that came out to graze. Continental breakfast provided in the morning -... More

This motel is worn and dirty. Inadequately maintained.water in room was cloudy. A thin, uncomfortable mattress made for a poor nights sleep. Room had an off odor. When checking out, the receptionist did not even ask how our stay was. Find another place.

Not a chain motel but nevertheless quality beds, room ambiance, up to date bathroom, and general comfortableness, if that's word! Don't worry if there are no "view of water" rooms. The Pacific is right across the road! Plus, the included breakfast is very, very good and with a range of offerings. Would return here without hesitation. Downtown Cambria is 5... More

I arrived in the evening and got my key from the person on duty. Went to my room and opened the door and the room smelled musty and not very well lite plus the bathroom light was like a pinkish color and very old fixtures. I turned down the sheets to see how they smelled and if they were clean.... More

Perfect. Clean. Cozy. Friendly and nice. Nice rooms. Highly recommend. Location is perfect to visit Hearst castle. About 15min away. Nice breakfast. Small and simple, but a nice addition. Price also very reasonable. Quiet with frogs and cows outside.

This is a very cute family run little inn within walking distance to many shops and restaurants in the east village. Some Rooms have balconies overlooking the creek. Very private and peaceful We will definitely return!

We arrived around 5 PM June 14, 2014. There was nobody in the locked office, but there was an envelope taped to the window for us with the keys and room number. We were staying only one night so we could see Hearst Castle the next day. We were traveling with another couple and reserved the room as four adults.... More

While I do try to utilize reviews as a valuable tool in always improving the property, I can only do so when I am able to take them seriously. The author here is either an underachieving competitor in the area, or a member of the Fresno Shriners who I have banned from the property for good reason. (Please see previous... More

We stayed here whilst travelling up the coast to SF. It looks like a motel type complex from the outside with rooms around the car park. The receptionist was not welcoming but perhaps she was having a bad day. The rooms are spacious enough and have tv, coffee making facilities etc but was not the cleanest that I have seen... More

Stay away from this place if you don't want your stay spoiled by the owner-manager. we were told that check out time was not 11:01am but 11;00 and he wanted anyone checking out to be out of the room and off the property by 11. A very unpleasant person .

I was pleased to see Paul Bedford's disparaging review and even more delighted to know that he will never come back again. He is correct, I told him that he and the group he was with had to check out at 11:00 and not 11:01. He is a member of the Fresno clowns, a division of the Fresno Shrine. They... More

If you are sensitive to noise or if you happen to have ears on both sides of your head, you should avoid the first floor. The staff made a phone call or two to the room above us but it's clear that quiet rooms are beyond the reach of this fine institution. Best part of the room was the balcony... More
