This is a really great B&B in the beautiful town of Cambria. Stayed in an ocean view room which would have been fantastic were it not for the lashing rain and howling gale - and so the fireplace, to our surprise, was in constant use. The room itself was extremely large and very clean. Nice touches like the free wifi... More

Loved the Fog Catcher - great location directly opposite the ocean, 2 minutes drive from Cambria - a cute little town consisting of a high street with lots of little shops to wander in. The kids loved the free cookies when we check in and the pool and hot tub went down well too. Friendly helpful staff.

Whilst the Fogcatcher was the most expensive place we stayed in during our trip to the US at £113 a night for 2 people, it was so worth it! We had a king Garden room, which although there wasn't any garden to speak of, the position of the hotel right on the shore meant that we really weren't bothered. We... More

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Hearst Castle. It was only about 10 minutes away. Nicely located right across the street from Moonstone Beach and a boardwalk along the beach. The room was clean, spacious, and very nicely decorated. The complimentary breakfast was more than adequate and very delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Was not sure what to expect after booking this hotel. It was an awesome ending to a trip through the central coast. The room was perfect, not fancy but everything you needed to be very comfortable and it was extremely clean! Great price/value/location. Breakfast was beyond expectation. Staff was very friendly, however, we didn't get the chocolate chip cookies when... More

I booked the Fog Catcher based largely on the reviews of this site about two months before our October 21st honeymoon stay. I called again to confirm the room two nights before our stay. When we arrived mid afternoon on the 21st, we were greeted by the most friendly and helpful woman named Kim. Due to the fact that we... More

This was a quaint little inn but the pictures are misleading. The garden view room did not really look into the garden, but rather at a wall where some flowers had once been planted. Linens smelled musty but that may have been due to the salty air. We would have paid extra to have an ocean view room, but even... More

Stayed at the Fogcatcher for one night. Had a very nice ocean view room, very romantic evening. The location is close to Cambria's main street and also provides a beautiful path for walking along the beach. I would definitely stay here again. The continental breakfast provided in the morning was okay.

We stayed in an ocean view room on the 2nd floor. Upon arrival, we noted that the bathroom floor and counter had not been cleaned. Also, the bedding duvets were very soiled. We called the front desk, and the response was quite apathetic. For over $250 a night, you would think that they would have moved us to a clean... More

The management and staff of the FogCatcher Inn strive to make each and every guest happy. It is unfortunate that this guest was not happy with their room, or service. I personally inspected the room and replaced the duvet (which did indeed have a small stain) Otherwise, the room, including bathroom were quite clean. Windows and window sills are cleaned... More

We took a dog/human trip to Cambria and even though the beach here is not "dog friendly" (Cayucos 10 mi South is) we stayed here and loved it. The staff were very friendly to the dogs, even when they bark at them. Rooms updated, clean and cozy with flat screen TV, air conditioning (rare in Cambria) and comfy linens. Breakfast... More
