Five friends rented this three bedroom home. It was very well appointed. There was a kingsize bed in every bedroom and a bath for each bedroom. One bedroom is on the ground floor and two upstairs. The kitchen was well supplied and the living room, in addition to a television and music system was well supplied with games, puzzles, books and other items for entertainment. Toiletries were supplied for all of the baths. The back yard was beautiful and had two separate patios with seating areas. There was also a hot tub in the back yard. The house felt secluded and quiet, but was in easy walking distance of the downtown area. There was an ample private parking area in the driveway in the back. We really enjoyed a relaxing time here.

We traveled to Calistoga with friends and the Wayside Inn was the perfect setting as a home base. It s a beautiful, well maintained home with all the comforts. Perfect setting to relax and be able to visit after a day of shopping and visiting wineries. Weather was a little cool to sit outside, but the back yard offers a perfect patio setting with gardens and fountains. The house is well furnished with fully stocked kitchen appliances. I would strongly recommend the Calistoga Wayside Inn to anyone looking for a relaxing Napa Valley vacation.

My family and I recently rented the entire Wayside Inn for a family function. The Inn was spectacular in my view. Great inside and out, well equipped, and just beautiful. Accommodations for eight were easy and roomy. And the owners were helpful, cooperative, and kind. I would highly recommend the Inn to anyone. I will most definitely be back!.

Located in walking distance of Calistoga center near restaurants. This is a small, private house where you rent a nice room with a bath. I think there are only a couple of more rooms. Checkin was 15-18, and we arrived later due to a traffic accident which closed the road for a couple of hours. We had informed that we arrived late and after giving a call after arrival, Judy came and opened. The room was large and clean, furniture old fashion. Bed and bathroom good, slept well. We didn't use the common living room, but that is an opportunity, especially if you share the house with interesting people. Breakfast was served by Judy. It was at 9 and you share the table with the other guests. If lucky, like us you have an interesting talk. The breakfast was very simple. If you like the opportunity to meet other travelersby the breakfast table, go for this. If you like a hotel with 24 hour reception and privat anonymity, choose something else. Parking is free and wifi worked well.

Three couples stayed last weekend and we had a great time. The major plus is each bedroom has a bathroom. The entire property was ours and we were lucky to have nice weather to enjoy the backyard. Since the nights are cool in Feb we also enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in the family room. It was nice to have the option of a heated hot tub however we never had time to enjoy it, although you could see it was clean and heated. The kitchen was stocked with spices and plenty of dishes and glasses. We spent the day wine tasting so after our driver dropped us off it was nice to be able to walk downtown and back for dinner. It only took 10 minutes to be in the center of town. The house is old and has minor quirks which is part of it's charm. If you are looking for a modern house with modern furniture, this is not for you. If you like the feel of being at your grandmothers house, this is perfect. The ONLY thing I would suggest is directions on how to use the electronics for the technology challenged people like me.

Three couples spent four nights at the Calistoga Wayside. We found ourselves spending most of our time outside in the gardens, on the patio or in the hot tub, enjoying the fine weather that is Northern California. As others have said, this is an old house with old house quirkiness that we came to appreciate and enjoy. It has a very large dining room and living room, with two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. The downstairs bedroom has a very small bath and a separate shower, apparently where a closet used to be. AC is provided by a window unit. The two upstairs bedrooms have full baths, but a single AC window unit in the hallway, requiring you to keep your doors open. The patio and gardens are nice and the hot tub under the gazebo was a great touch. Th The house is not a B&B and should not be confused with the other Wayside property. it is a stand-alone house with a full kitchen with all the necessary dishes, pots, pans, and glasses. We were a little disappointed that there was not a washer / dryer available, but as veteran travelers always do, we managed without it. We were very comfortable with this property and plan to stay here again in the fall. It is not the Westin by any stretch, but if you enjoy privacy, serenity, and the quaintness of an old house, this is the place for you.

We spent a wonderful weekend at The Wayside Inn in Calistoga. It was a birthday party weekend with 3 couples. The room layout with 3 separate kings beds, each with their own bath is what first attracted us to the house. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find a classic 1930's mission style home with down home ambiance, with a cozy living room complete with wood burning stove, a perfect dining room for a party of 6, and a lovely patio setting with hot tub and barbeque in the back yard. Because we rented all three rooms, it was totally private and we enjoyed every moment.

Loved that the Inn was walking distance to town because it's nice to ditch the car and enjoy a walk after dinner or to dinner. I have never stayed in a B&B so didn't really know what to expect. The house was a really cute and cozy historic home. Great old windows and doors and other neat little features. There was some street noise which I thought at first would be bothersome but it really wasn't, especially at night. Phillip, who was our host, was very pleasant and very nice. Waking up to coffee already made and breakfast cooking and interesting conversation was great. The backyard garden/courtyard was amazing. At night it was lit up with little white lights. Would definitely stay there again. I looked at other B&B's while i was there in Calistoga and was glad that I had picked the Wayside.

Stayed one night at this B&B. Was very disappointed. Too expensive for what it's worth- just like everything else in Napa Valley. We could hear street noise, they serve a weird french toast for breakfast- something they experimented on, the fruit was not fresh. Our room was next to the kitchen where you could hear them cook breakfast early in the morning. The toilet and shower were separated. the shower was like a phonebooth in the room. They recommended us to go to a small winery that sold cheap quality wine at high price- must have been their relatives. For over $300 they charged us for this room? We would definitely not recommend this place!

We spent two nights at the Wayside Inn and recommend it strongly to those visiting Calistoga. The innkeeper, Jennie, is warm and friendly and breakfast is delicious! We stayed in the Delaney room and thought it was very comfortable and nicely kept. During the day there is some noise from the street but at night it was very quiet. The house is very well kept and everything was pristine and nice.
