This is a great place to stay. It is in the perfect location, right next to shopping and shipping and only minutes to the vineyards!! It is an older hotel, but our room was nice and clean. The three different temperature pools were nice to have and the guy at the front desk was very friendly. Let me qualify, I... More

No elevators. Rooms were old but very clean. 70's vibe. We knew that ahead of time so we were ok with that. Not that impressed with the pools. Just average pools, nothing special. The mud bath was certainly an "experience" and I'm glad I tried it, but in the future would prefer a massage over this. Even though I felt... More

Dear Deb , Thanks so much for the review. I would have loved five stars but feedback is more valuable than internet "stars". My only concern is about the pools....... there is nothing average about the pools which are fed with mineral springs water. I guess average is a point of view and I understand that points of view might... More

Rooms clean and spacious. Very comfortable. Convenient location in the centre of Calistoga - an easy walk to local restaurants, shops and wine tasting venues. Three pools to enjoy, 2 of them outdoor. Outdoor seating in courtyard pleasant for a picnic breakfast or lunch.

Our room was in the Victorian House. It was very clean but needs updating. No wi-fi if it matters to you. We had a great mud bath with aromatic whirlpool and steam room. My husband also had a massage. The spa facility was very clean and the staff was great. It needs updating. Very utilitarian.

After staying both at Dr. Wilkinson's and at a more "upscale" spa a few blocks away, we were back at the Doc's for this year's anniversary visit to Calistoga. There's just something very appealing about the super friendly, studiously low-tech environment and the emphasis placed on comfort over glitz. Our basic king room was spacious and sparkly clean with plenty... More

The (refurbished) king size room was clean and simply attractive. No frills, but that's what I wanted. The beds were great and comfy. Bath house: "The Works" including one hour massage (thank you Beth) put me in a completely altered, relaxed, and wonderful space. It was very plain; (maybe original '50s) but clean and pleasant, and the treatment was sensational.... More

It's not the Hilton, but the rooms are clean and it is in the heart of Calistoga town. It has two mineral pools outside to swim/linger in. It has an indoor hot mineral pool with whirlpool jets too. If you forget to bring swimming trunks they have loaners. The hot indoor pool is connected to the spa, which is where... More

We go here with a large group a couple times a year. The back rooms have small and limited kitchens that need some updating but we use them along with things brought from home for comfortable family meals. The staff is always willing to help and makes sure we have everything we need. Although there is free wifi, it is... More

We thoroughly enjoyed 3 mineral pools, with 3 different temps! Our skin felt so soft & exfoliated after & we loved it! Relaxed in our nice comfy robes, & the room came w/a mini fridge so we were able to chill our wine we'd bought wine tasting & enjoyed it at dinner. Hotel staff was very friendly, our room was...
