Dec.12-14 Stayed in Quails Roost, huge room with wooden flooring, sofa in front of the fireplace, a nook for reading or napping, a jacuzzi overlooking the waterfalls, has a full kitchen and washer/drier(we never used) but it's so complete. This is our second stay at Foothill House.The first in the Redroom.This time in the Quails Roost.And as expected it was wonderful as the first time.Breakfast is great. The room we had at the Foothill House was very large and nicely appointed. There was a whirlpool tub for two and a separate shower and toilet in a separate room. Foothill House is a real find in Calistoga. Darla, the owner makes you feel right at home. She is an excellent cook and features something special each morning. My husband and I stayed in the Quail's Roost for 2 nights. The room was charming and the comfort of the bed was fantastic!!! Excellent choice to stay for a length of time since the room has a full kitchen and is roomy enough so that you feel "at home". It also was private (since it is a separate cottage)... more
