This B & B is full of classy touches, from wine and port in the living room, to chocolate oatmeal cookies with port and glasses in the bedrooms! Breakfast both days where fabulous, homemade scones and muffins, poached eggs and apple sausage, fruit, and granola with yogurt, and worth breaking your diet for french toast! The rooms are all different,... More

What a great place - a warm welcome from Nick and Gillian, comfortable rooms, fabulous breakfasts. We also enjoyed the welcome wine and home-made snacks - repeated each day of the stay. Highly recommended as a base for exploring Calistoga and the wider Napa valley wine region. Nick put together a package for us, included dining vouchers, scheduled wine tastings... More

Clean, beautiful furniture, unbeatable breakfasts (and cookies). The Spring room may have been missing a closet, but made up for it with its fantastic bathroom. The Craftsman style was excellently maintained. A few details were strange: The Howell room lacked a working lock on the door, and the only door connecting the Spring room to the rest of the house... Our stay (three days) at The Craftsman Inn was just perfect. Although the owners have lived in CA for many years, they are originally from the UK and I think the Inn has a touch of English charm to it. Our hosts were lovely and very knowledgeable about the area (and more importantly where the best wineries are!). The food... More

Good bits: Outstanding quality, home-coked breakfast - amazing! Clean and comfortable room Convenient location, quality toiletries, complimentary cookies/sherry in the room and wine in the lounge 'Home from home' style decor Bad bits - The Spring room! Quite small with no proper wardrobe, just a hanging rail with no shelves or drawers for clothes Shower didn't work properly But, the... More

One of the reasons for staying in Bed and Breakfasts like this is to experience the enthusiasm of the owners. Here you have a lovely old house that has been lovingly restored. But, unfortunately, for whatever reason, the owners have apparently stopped caring. The bones of the room were excellent but the pillows and the mattress should have been replaced... More

We stayed here for one night after spending 4 nights in San Francisco and booked the Diamond Room. It was absolutely heaven - after an afternoon wine tasting we relaxed in the lovely jacuzzi tub with a glass of wine and the gorgeous homemade cookies which were divine. The room was large and spacious and the bed one of the... More

The location is very good, you can walk to town. Rooms are very comfortable. Hospitality was wonderful. We enjoyed delicious breakfast every morning. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We purchased the cook book to see if we can try making the delicious scones we ate for breakfast ,
