We were in Calistoga for a wedding. Stayed at this place because it was on the bridal web site. Found it to be a nice, quaint place. We rented a 2 room suite that slept 6. Only one bedroom other sleeping was in the living room but great for a family. Room had a kitchen and we found that they... More

I was looking for a hotel that offered a "suite" as I was traveling with my 4 year old son and 9 month old daughter. I booked a 1 bedroom suite at the Carlin Cottages hoping that it would be a good fit...and it was! The hotel room felt more like a 1 bedroom apartment. It had a full kitchen,... More

The other couple we traveled with arranged our stay at the Carlin Country Cottages. I had expected to be disappointed based on some of the reviews and even their lackluster website. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Granted, it is not a Marriott or an intimate B&B that immerses you in the Napa wine country feeling - it is more like... More

We recently stayed at the Carlin Country Cottages in Calistoga, Ca. There are no cottages there. It is a no frills motel with mineral pools. The pools were fine but the motel is very bare and over priced. The one bedroom suite had no air conditioning in the bedroom (the weather was in the high 90's). The front room was... More

What a hidden gem . . . the Carlin Cottages were just what we needed, for an awesome price! The cottages are not fancy and a bit outdated, but quaint and what you'd expect when you rent a cottage "up north". For a very reasonable price, we received a private cottage in a perfect location with a full kitchen and... More

My fiance took me here for my birthday, and it was a wonderful weekend. We stayed in a room with a mineral hot tub, and took 2 baths a day. I am not a big fan of the sulfur smell, so scents were provided to ease that. Even without the scents, the in-room baths are amazing. The cottages are steps... More

Our family has been traveling to Calistoga for decades and we are so happy we discovered the Carlin Cottages about six years ago. It is a family run business so the hospitality is genuine and abundant. There is an outdoor hot-spring fed swimming pool and jacuzzi. We were just there last month and it was lightly raining, but we still... More

I have stayed at the Carlin Cottages on more than one occasion. I always have a wonderful time! The Cottages are clean, well appointed and comfortable. In room jacuzzi with minreral water? What a plus! I think the Cottages are a great value especially in the pricey Calistoga area. To add, this place is great for families and is nicely... More

My husband, two young sons and I recently stayed at the Carlin Cottages and had a wonderful time. The Cottages are set up perfectly for a family to enjoy a few nights away. We had a kitchenette which was key with the kids. Having two rooms was a great change compared with a typical hotel; we were able to put... More
