We had a lovely time. Being parents of two young ones, we rarely have time for ourselves, let alone time to reconnect. And reconnect is what we did during our brief stay at the Chanric. We actually had a chance to talk UNINTERRUPTED (you parents know what I mean!). It's such a welcomed surprise not to find yet another "distraction"... More

Just came back from a few days in Napa and wanted to give a shout out for the Chanric Inn. We had a very nice room, including a very comfortable bed and big, modern washroom. Breakfasts were amazing and both owners, Ric and Channing, are super hospitable and welcoming. Will definetely stay there again next time I visit Napa Valley. More

I love the idea of a bed and breakfast, but I'm usually turned off by the decor of these places. If I'm going to pay a ton to stay somewhere (let's face it, that's anywhere in this area), I would prefer I cool modern space. The Chanric Inn is the best of both worlds! Sleek (small) rooms, gorgeous main part... More

You must stay at least 3 nights to get a decent exposure to the brunch menu and to get the boy's back story - we extended our stay the experience was so good. Plan on 3 months diligent diet and exercise following the visit. no pre planning required, as you can take Ric's recommendations on food and wineries, but don't... More

We enjoyed our stay at The Chanric very much. Of course, it is one of the very best brunches we have ever had- anywhere! Ric was amazingly helpful providing restaurant recommendations (Cook in St. Helena- perfection) and winery recommendations suited to our personalities which he identified in short order. We were thankful he was able to accommodate my husband's diabetic... More

We had a 4 night stay @ the Chanric. Ric & Channing both did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable. Even though we had done an extensive amount of research prior to our visit Ric & Channing were very helpful in making suggestions that definitely improved our tasting & dining experiences! Our room was immaculate as was the... More

My husband and I spent a week at the Chanric Inn in Sept 2011. Fantastic pretty much sums it up. Ric and Channing are wonderful hosts. Not to meniton Ric's cooking! Every morning was a delight anticipating what would end up on our plates. The house and grounds are very nicely maintained. I agree with a previous writer that the... More

We stayed here for 3 days and I highly recommend you do the same if you are in the area. The Chanric is located within easy driving distance to many wineries in both Calistoga area and Sonoma. This B&B is tucked away on a beautiful hillside, with well maintained gardens, pool, hot tub and very comfortable rooms. Breakfast each day... More

My husband and I stayed here during the first week of September. We rented a car in San Francisco and drove through Napa and Sonoma to get to Calistoga. It is a beautiful drive! The Chanric Inn is such a nice place! Ric and Channing were both very nice and gave very good recommendations on what to do and where... More

Owners Chan and Rick have turned the former Culver Mansion into a world class place to spend time winding down and relaxing after a busy day of wine tasting and fine dining. Their hospitality made our group of 4 feel like we were family, their recommendations were always spot on, and the breakfast that we enjoyed were the absolute best... More
