We stayed at the Casa Lana Bed and Breakfast for the Halloween weekend. My husband said I made an excellent choice. The room was lovely, and I loved the bathroom which was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good but I could tell it was not enough to fill my husband up, he is a big breakfast eater. None the... More

Thank you for taking time to post a review. I'm glad to know you enjoyed the room, property and the breakfasts. If I had known Ramon wanted a larger breakfast. I would have been happy to serve it. A lot of people make big lunch plans so I try to go in between. Hope to see you again. Lana More

We enjoyed staying at Casa Lana B&B for 2 nights. The bathroom was nice-sized and the grounds were relaxing. I've stayed in Calistoga several times over the years and always at one of the larger hotels. It was enjoyable to stay at a smaller place with only 2 guests rooms where we had a bit of peace off of the... More

We scheduled our cooking class with another couple very last minute while touring the Napa area. Lana was more than accommodating and we all learned so much about technique. Not to mention the meal was delicious! We enjoyed a wonderful meal outside and Lana was so gracious! We would all highly recommend her B&B. We didn't stay but now that... More

My wife and I recently chose to spend a week at Casa Lana's B&B and it was an excellent choice. We were celebrating our anniversary and were looking for a location that could readily fit short daily excursions. We had been to Calistoga previously and knew that location was a good link to travel in all directions. Obviously, there were... More

Pros: The outside grounds were OK. Cons: The food and the service. Location: It was close to a charming town with a farmers market, bookstore, restaurants and great coffee shop. We eschewed the amenities of a hotel for the charm and warm breakfast of a B&B. Boy were we sorry we did - especially for the price. Breakfast was sorely... More

Apparently you were traveling and shared the room with the person that posted the previous review. I will reiterate everything I said to Steven. I'm very sorry you were disappointed in your stay and the breakfast. Food is served hot, not lukewarm. Guests rave about the fresh house-baked goods that are served with the breakfast. Coffee is offered throughout breakfast... More

The house is located in a mixed residential area but sits across from a sports field which is noisey until past 9 pm. The grounds are attractive, with fruit trees, a fountain and herb and vegetable gardens. We stayed in the smaller bedroom which is a bit tired looking and hardly luxurious. The breakfasts were disappointing, reheated or lukewarm. The... More

Of course I am very disappointed and surprised by your comments. As you can see from reviews posted, other guests have raved about their stay at CasaLana - the rooms, the location and the breakfasts which are prepared with seasonal ingredients and served fresh. I apologize if you felt uncomfortable that I asked about refreshing your room. I do so... More

We had a great time in Calistoga and a major part of that was staying at Casa Lana. Our room was first class and the breakfast each morning got our day off to a wonderful start. We look forward to staying there again in the future and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet stay. Lana is... More

We just spent a fabulous weekend in Calistoga, staying at Casa Lana. The property is beautiful, our room (Palisades) was very comfortable, and Lana is a gracious host. The casa is close to the center of town, making for an easy alternative to driving, particularly after a nice bottle of Napa Valley wine with dinner. Five stars!

We stayed at Casa Lana for a quick weekend getaway, and it was perfect. We didn't take part in any of her classes, but I am imagine that they would be fantastic, because her food certainly was. Lana was great- gave us great restaurant recommendations, but wasn't overly-friendly, like can sometimes happen at smaller B&Bs. The location was great- about... More
