We travel a lot and when you walk into a place and immediately feel comfortable, I think that speaks volumes. Privacy is a non issue as the rooms each have their own private entrance. CasaLana is in easy walking distance to the center of town and with the property tucked back in the neighborhood you feel more like one of... more

Out stay here was nothing but relaxing and enjoyable. Lana was a gracious host and it was fun getting to know her. Her breakfasts were delicious and the experience was like sitting around your own kitchen table. We truly plan to visit again. more

My husband purchased a two day culinary experience for me as a birthday gift. I had been wanting to do this for some time and was thrilled at the opportunity. We chose Casa Lana because of the intimate class size and location of the property. Lana was so wonderful to cook with. She not only teaches you the specific recipe,... more

Lana Richardson runs a wonderful business, and her heart is clearly in it. We took two days of cooking classes and stayed at the B&B in the upstairs room with a fantastic view overlooking a river, garden, and huge trees. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The bathroom is large with a relaxing place for a bath and a... more

We spent half a week at this place for a cooking class and stayed in one of the rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the class was great. Highly recommend it! more

Great location near the Napa wineries. Lana was very accomodating to our early arrival. The room was really nice and spotless. Breakfast on Sunday morning was wonderful - out near the garden, really interesting, home made food. Will definitely be going back. more

For my thirtieth birthday, my parents paid for a culinary vacation to Napa Valley. I spent a year researching the options and chose Casa Lana because I felt it was the best way to get the experience I needed to improve my cooking. The course did not disappoint! I signed up for the Boot Camp experience and boot-camp-like it was,... more

This was a wonderful cooking school. The best part is when you stay at CasaLana you only have to walk a few steps to the kitchen. If you've never taken a cooking class I would highly recommend this one, not to mention the fabulous B&B. It was only blocks from town and many great restaurants! And the wine country is... more

This is a very quiet, peaceful and comfortable bed and breakfast. It is walking distance to downtown Calistoga but not near enough to be bothered by all the tourist traffic. The hostess, Lana Richardson, is a very gracious and accomodating as well as readily available if needed. She went out of her way to arrange some wonderful trips for us... more

I wanted to give my wife -- who loves everything about cooking, including reading about it, preparation, ingredients, etc. -- a special treat, so I purchased a 3-day "culinary vacation" at CasaLana in the Napa Valley for her and a friend. (Little did I suspect she'd choose me to be the "friend" -- but I really enjoy wine and visiting... more
