Do not consider this place to be a 'Bed & Breakfast.' You will be staying in a dated, cluttered, grubby house. The site is fine, nice view of the valley, even the geyser. The first clue as to how 'rough' this place is, is the open trench and the back-hoe when you drive up to the house. There is a... more

First and foremost, this is more than pet friendly, it's positively welcoming! You and your animals will be greeted first by Debo, the sweetest dog you are ever likely to meet. (He's the "vicious pit bull" described in one review--not a vicious bone in his body, and we watched him with our tiny scared yorkie: Debo was ultra gentle, and... more

"My Home is Your Home" says the sign at the door, and that's what you're going to find at Hillcrest: a modest, comfortable home overlooking the Napa valley. The proprieter, Debbie O'Gorman, is a friendly, welcoming hostess, and a great cook. She's also a foster mom who looks after a number of kids at any given time. The guest areas... more

The proprietor is a warm, charming hostess with lots of historical knowledge about the house and the surrounding area. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, and very clean. I've read some of the other reviews about housekeeping but maybe they were there on off days. I found everything about the house fabulous, including the homey atmosphere and the outstanding... more

My wife and I went to Hillcrest B&B for our 5 year anniversary. We have a friendly, medium sized dog, who is a part of our family We take him with us pretty much everywhere we can Debbie has a very friendly, well-behaved dog...who bonded easily with our dog. Debbie is a very down-to-earth, very warm person. Her house is... more

This was a "scary" place. It was very misrepresented. The web site looks wonderful, but what they didn't take pictures of were all the junk laying around the site. The rooms were dirtly when we checked in and the bathroom had urine on the tolliet, no soap and old towels that looked like you used them to wash your car.... more

My wife, 6-year-old daughter and I spent a relaxing afternoon and night at the Hillcrest B&B just outside Calistoga. The minute we turned off Highway 29 and drove up the winding driveway to the house I sensed that the place had the right feel (quiet, secluded, in a beautiful setting, and having an interesting "off the beaten path" character). We... more

My sister and I just came back to our loud apartment in the city of San Francisco. We stayed at the Hillcrest 3 years ago. We travel with a rescued dog, so our lodging is planned around her. Debbie is the friendly owner of this charming Bed and Breakfast, with picturesque views. We are both Managers in the city, and... more

Hi! We had the pleasure of staying here at Hillcrest Bed & Breakfast last week and had wished we had stayed longer just to hang out by the pool and enjoy the view! We stayed in the Mountain View Cottage. Pretty views from sections of the porch...I felt like I was in a tree house looking down into the valley!... more

We just came back from our trip and we are so glad to be home! We love staying at B&B's but this was not your typical bed & breakfast place. We stayed in the master bedroom, had our own private balcony and bathroom. However, the room was smelly, musty, and dusty. In fact, the entire house smelled! The bathroom stinks... more
