We've been going to Calistoga, and stay at the Roman Spa Resort for years. Each visit is a great experience and allows us to kick back and enjoy the pool, the Jacuzzi's, and the Spa, for massages and mineral baths. We always return home refreshed and renewed allowing us to take a deep breath and go on with our lives... more

The pools are wonderful - very nice sized and different temperatures of water. It was a holiday week-end and the facility was very quiet. It is walking distance to downtown Calistoga. The room was clean and well attended. I wish I was still there. more

The Roman Spa in Calistoga is a wonderful place to go for pure relaxation. The grounds are lovely with seasonal flowers and decorations to celebrate the particular time of year. We just returned from an October weekend and enjoyed the beautiful fall colors in the flowers and the pumpkins and squash clustered around the flower beds. The rooms are attractive... more

Nice room...we had the 2 BR with kitchenette. Very cleanand comfortable. Just a short walk (one block) to Lincoln Ave, the main street of Calistoga with many good places to eat, but also a very quiet area. Outstanding mineral pools and grounds! Very enjoyable! I would highly recommend & return here again. more

We stayed at the Roman Spa as part of a two week trip around California, and were not disappointed. It is very close to the centre of Calistoga and we were able to leave the car at the hotel whilst we walked around town (even the wonderful Calistoga Inn, which is at the other end of the main street and... more

I suggest everyone who turns a decade should spend a week at the Roman Spa. I did, and cajoled friends and family to rent rooms as well. The front desk is wonderful (as compared to five plus years ago...night and day); the facilities remain in good shape and continue to look fresh, and the pools are still the most fun... more

Notice how many reviewers have been coming here for many, many years? That speaks volumes to the Roman Spa experience. While the rooms and grounds are well maintained, things haven't changed much over time. That's a good thing. It's a wonderful place to come and relax, especially with a small group of friends. My husband and I have been coming here... more

I've been coming to Calistoga for years and I very often stay at Roman Spa. They have really nice garden-like decor complete with coy ponds and sun dials that frame nice motel-style rooms. Like the Romans of old, they have three baths: a hot tub that's typically about 105 degrees, a cooler pool heated to around 95 degrees and a... more

Mineral pool is perfect (bring your noodles for floating) temperature for healing and relaxing. We love to take a dip in the evening and look up at the tall palms hovering above against the starry sky. Rooms are quiet and clean with fridge. Great central location for walking to nearby shopping and restaurants. Free PC in lobby. We've been regulars... more
