Lovely place. Quiet. A nice but short walk to downtown restaurants. Mud bath and spa treatments fabulous. Friendly staff. Fun and enjoyable amenities. Loved the ping pong table. My only problem is we could not stay longer. Thank you for a delightful time.

This was the perfect experience for an overnight getaway. Two girlfriends and I did the "Girlfriends Getaway Package" -- for $290pp we had an overnight in a two bedroom "suite" and three hours of spa treatments: one hour mud bath experience, one hour massage, one hour herbal facial (not the extraction kind). The property also has bocce courts, ping pong,... More

I only went here for a couples mud bath/whirlpool/massage, so I have no opinion of the hotel stay portion. The mud bath was great as it is an actual mud bath not the garbage where they paint some "volcanic ash" on you and it is basically a full body facial. This is the thing where you actually get in a... I'm very familiar with Calistoga since I live only about 2 hours away..been going to Roman spa for over 30 years and thought I'd try something different..the place is a bit run down but I'm not that picky..the staff was very friendly and the mud bath experience very nice..the pool could of been warmer..it's a bit far from town and... We did not stay overnight but enjoyed the couples mud bath and massage to bring in the new year. We have enjoyed these services several yimes over many years. The facility is continually updating and it is really nice. The staff are very good at providing the services and slways accomodating and friendly. We highly recommend a visit there!

Cashed in on the early bird special was great because it ended up having a very cold morning. Wife and I enjoyed the couples treatment and were ourselves treated very well by the staff. A little regimented but it is what it is.

I don't even know where to start. We came to this place after viewing there website expecting to see steaming water boiling from the ground. The whole thing is a joke. The "well" water stinks of terrible rotten egg smell. The spa was loud and the staff constantly goofing off making it impossible to relax. When I told the front... More

It was a chilly, overcast winter afternoon and outdoor activities were not on the agenda, so, papering was in order. We were day spa users and I have to tell you their off season weekend specials are something else for the area. Where else can you get a mudbath, mineral spring water hot tub, 'wrap' and a 1-hours massage for... More

It was a dark and stormy night in December and the other hotels were nearly $200 on up. We just needed a place to stay and maybe a little mineral water soak. One very high -end spa told us that Golden Haven would A) Be open after 9pm and B) would be inexpensive (for Calistoga). It was true! The best... More

The whole experience was very lackluster. The staff was rushed, the facilities mediocre and generally not worth the money. The mud bath was a mere fifteen minutes and the attendant was brusque and totally inattentive.
