Front desk staff needs to set the tone fo the tolerance of the traditional, and historical California lifestyle to east european sweat hogs and bolshevicks, so they know not to trample on the people who live in this country. more

We have been customers of the Calistoga Spa for over 5 years. Often we come for the day but the past two years we have stayed for a few nights. The rooms are very basic and "look" affordable but the pricing scheme is sneaky...read the fine print especially if traveling with young children and especially if you've reserved 2 queens,... more

My bf and I went here for a mid-week R&R. I think we were both a little taken aback, because the "resort" looks very little like the photos, and more like an early seventies Hotel 8. No grounds or garden to speak of, just basically a parking lot and then a fenced-off pool area. We got there around 5pm, ck... more

Visiting Calistoga is a family tradition going back three generations. Staying at the Calistoga Spa Hot Springs is my generation's favorite place to stay. It's one of the most affordable spots in an expensive town and area and has kitchenettes to save further on breakfast and lunch costs. Put what you saved towards a great dinner and spa treatments! Make... more

I have been coming to the Calistoga spa since I was a child. My kids and now my grandchildren have made the yearly visit, I'm talking over 30 years now. I remember staying here before and after they remodeled the place, added the suite and 2 new pools. We stayed during the noisy construction. Now...it takes a minimum of 2... more

I didn't stay here, but came for the mud bath. It was perfect. I will never again go anywhere else in Calistoga for this treatment.. For the lowest rate in town, you get all the goodies -- immersion mud bath, mineral bath, steam room and blanket wrap. No rush -- I was in there for an hour and a half.... more

What a horrible experience. Not only were the grounds dirty but the room itself was a mess- only 2 flat pillows, dirty sheets and the place smelled like horrible paint fumes. When I told the manager about the fumes-she could care less and told me that there was nothing she could do about the experience. She told me they just... more

My boyfriend took me to Calisotga for my first Wine Country trip. The hotel needs a lot of updating, but it's comfortable and very clean. It's right off the main street in Calistoga so you can walk to everywhere. The hot springs pools are to die for! They offer mudbaths which I hear they are famous for, but unfortunately I... more

I stayed at the spa last year and I was surpised at the family friendly environment. Great for little kids, teens and family but if you are looking for romance and quiet, this is not the spa for you. People are outside your door until late at night carrying on and it is far from quiet. The pools make up... more

I had been a frequent and happy guest. for many years. I would often bring family and friends. I really liked this place. Now it has a new manager. The new staff was extremely rude. I tried to communicate this to the manager and the owner, but never received a response form the owner, the manager defended her rude employee.... more
