Evidently The Ashram has improved some of its practices. There were no water bottles when I spent a miserable week there in 1989. The yoga instruction was very inappropriate for beginners, and include headstands and "neckstands". There were two hikes a day. The water polo was cutthroat. I have been visiting the Ashram for years and will always return for my yearly retreat. The staff and guides are wonderful. Being a repeat customer and huge fan of The Ashram, I feel the need to correct the numerous fallacies in the "etherbunny's" review and provide an accurate picture.
