Great Hotel, Superb Location, Good Food, Staff who go the extra mile for you, and an amazing Golf Course. We had a Suite facing the Atlantic Ocean and the views were awesome. Not the easiest place in the world to get to, unless you fly into Campbeltown, or take the ferry in the summer months (May - September), but well... More

Returned to Machrihanish for more golf and once again stayed at the Ugadale hotel. Stayed two nights and it was fantastic. The room was large and spotlessly clean ,the beds were extremely comfortable and gave a great nights sleep after a day's golf, especially as we had to play in the windiest of conditions due to the last of Hurricane... We spent 4 nights at the Ugadale Hotel in early November and cannot recommend this place highly enough. You don’t need to be a golfer to enjoy this exquisite hotel which has retained the charms of the past, yet has all the elegance and comfort you could wish for. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent,... More

I traveled here in September, 2014 with my husband and stayed in the Ugadale Cottages. They were gorgeous, super clean, and comfortable. The staff was very nice and accommodating as well. The hotel and cottages face the water with a nice little beach out front where you can go have a morning cup of coffee and marvel at your surroundings.... More

We have just come back from a couple of nights at the Ugadale hotel. It was our first time at the hotel so we read some reviews on Tripadvisor before we booked and found them to be spot on. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel feels like a luxury family run hotel although it is not.... More

We stopped here for two nights Saturday and Sunday after a week in Carradale. This really is a 5 star hotel. Great staff, good food, excellent accommodation. We ate in the Royal Hotel in Campbeltown on Saturday, and the Old Clubhouse Pub on Sunday. Played golf on the Dunes on Saturday afternoon. All in all, a great experience.

It was a 6 and a half hour drive to reach the hotel but the drive down the Kintyre Peninsular is part of the attraction. On reaching the Ugadale the setting is stunning. The sea, the hills and the sky combine to make this a very special place. The welcome is very warm but genuine. The rooms are very comfortable... More

I can not say enough about this hotel! Half our party stayed in the cottages and half stayed in the hotel. We went for a wedding on the beach right in front of the front doors! The hotel staff was very helpful in all aspects of the planning and executing of the wedding. It was very clean and comfortable. Every... More

The Ugadale hotel is situated in Kintyre Peninsula, a bit far a way - but do not let that bother you. Machrihanish is a lovely small village, the scenery is stunning and they have two excellent golf courses there. We booked through hotel and played Machrihanish Dunes and enjoyed a lot, it is a gorgeous links course. The old course,... More

The combination of friendly and helpful staff, beautiful surroundings, great location and superb food make the Ugadale Hotel a place I can't wait to go back to. There were seals on the rocks about 150m from the hotel's front door, beautiful beaches and enough history to keep anyone interested. You will not be disappointed.
