Our experience at this motel was very good. Our room was very basic but very clean and well appointed. The room rate was super low and one of the best deals we have found on I-5. We did not use the pool, but the pool area was pleasant on a sweltering early evening. The continental breakfast was about as basic... More

I enjoyed my experience staying here. My room was clean and the AC worked well!! Staff was so nice and accommodating. I liked the pool too. I liked that they had good wifi that was free. Would definitely recommend with their great prices.

We left San Diego on our motorcycles at 4:00am to get through LA traffic. We arrived in buttonwillow at our hotel at 12:30pm after being on the road for almost 8 hours. It was 105 degrees in Buttonwillow. The hotel staff told us we couldn't check in early unless we paid a fee to check in early. They would not... More

Dear Guest, I’m terribly sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your experience with us. I’m also sorry that your rooms were not all available for free early check in, but I’m glad we were able to accommodate you in the end. We understand that 100+ degree weather creates additional challenges for guests as well as for us, and... More

For people in transit, Buttonwillow is a stop for the night. EconoLodoge was the perfect choice for us. Yes, it's only 2 stars but perfect for what we needed: clean, comfortable, basic breakfast, and very affordable. Let me emphasize clean. Many hotels and motels are not kept such meticulously clean. Yes, it is basic--e.g. no bacon and eggs. But the... More

The truck noise was to loud, and Continued none stop all night. The desk clerk should have placed us in a room not facing the freeway. Yes the bathroom was clean, however when I pay for a queen sized bed I do not want a full! Additionally when we checked in I requested adjoining rooms and was told "no we... More

Dear Guest, Thanks for your comments. I’m sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your experience here. We do not have adjoining queen rooms, so accommodating that request would not have been possible. In any case, I apologize for the inconvenience. Most guests are satisfied with the combination of value and amenities we provide, and we get many positive... More

The overall problem was the room temperature. It was VERY HOT, and the A/C system was lees than minimal. We were told the only rooms on ground floor were the west facing and hot - even though we arrived early and the parking lot was almost empty. The A/C produced a tiny trickle of cool air. The excuse was the... More

My husband and I were driving north on route 5 to the San Francisco area and stayed at the Econolodge for one night. We pulled over and make a quick decision to stay here. I have to say that the bathroom was spotless and the bed comfortable. If we needed to stop to sleep again on route 5, we would... More

Since I am a Choice Priveleges member, I expected something better than this. Building is old - girl at the desk wasn't particularly friendly or helpful. Hardly any cars around, and they put us on the second floor, in the back row of rooms. Room was small, cramped and just plain worn out. This place needs a complete remodeling!!! Felt... More

Excellent Stay!!! We stayed in Econolodge at Buttonwillow as it was near to our work place and we needed nice deal for our extended stay. After shopping around with nearby hotels we finalized on this one because the rates for extended stay was a steal. When we say steal we really meant it $160 for a week with all the... More

I arrived in the late evening to what appeared to be a near empty hotel and was told that no ground floor rooms were available. I was given a second floor room that smelled like it had been closed up for months. The bed was worn out and smelled pretty bad.

Dear Guest, I apologize that your late arrival did not allow for a ground floor room. Some rooms may have been out of service for repairs or deep cleaning when you arrived. We won’t rent a room that isn’t in good condition. While we haven’t had any other reports of odor problems or bedding issues, we will recheck our second... More
