I was detoured to Bridgeport from Lee Vining due to a pet policy that was not clear. It was a little bit out of my way because I was traveling south but you roll with the punches. Ruby Inn was fantastic!! The grounds and the room were well kept and clean. SUPER big bonus was that they have a HUGE... More

If you are in the area then this is a good choice. Rooms were mostly clean but some features were outdated and worn. Wireless service was horrible. On the good side the service was great and they allowed our dog which was great news. Parking is easy and grounds are nicely kept. Location is good and there is a good... More

The price is a little steep but we had a really nice room away from the road traffic. It was well appointed, everything worked and we were warmly welcomed by the owner. After staying in some "budget" motels, this is just what we needed. Ask for room #12. Oh, and have a meal at Rhino, which is just a nice... More

Of all the places I’ve reviewed on a regular basis, this is the toughest one to write about. It is also, both the easiest and most pleasant to write about. Why? Because the people here do seemingly everything so very well. It’s like they have picked the brains of everyone who has stopped here, and where there was a trend... More

First, the good points: they had rooms available, nice-looking pool-sized jacuzzi, pleasant desk clerk, clean sheets. Close to some good restaurants. Now the rest: room near highway was noisy. Between the refrigerator, air conditioner, and highway noise, didn't sleep much. "Breakfast" was coffee, some pastries, hard-boiled eggs. (See their photo of dining area; it's right in back of the lobby... More

Owners were pleasant and accommodating. Room was basic, neat and clean. Basic continental breakfast with coffee, pastries and fruit. Only downside was that for an area that caters to fishermen the office ( and breakfast ) doesn't open until 7:30 am.

We had driven from Oregon and it was late. Frankly, aside from a tent, we were happy to lay our heads anyplace that had a roof. The beds were fine, a bit hard, but what made it so extremely odd was the reception from the owner. Without knowing who we were (aside from bleary-eyed travelers who drove for 12 hours... More

Although I am passionate about our current political climate in America and am anxious for change I welcome all opinions on the subject. In regards to your statement regarding one of our regular guests who happens to have an Obama bumper sticker on her vehicle, she did not seem to be as troubled by my jest as were you. We... More

This motel is top rated in Bridgeport and probably deserves the reputation. Nothing really special, but it was clean, the owners were pleasant, just what you'd want for the price. Take a room further from the highway, if possible, as the trucks barrel by until after midnight!

We arrived late without a reservation and wanted to go to Bodie the next morning. Should have driven another hour to Hawthorne, Nevada and saved $100! I was just sick of driving that day. This is a nice rennovated old-style motel where you can park right in front of your door. The wi-fi service did not really work at all,... More

Bridgeport is a tiny town between Reno NV and the eastern entrance to Yosemite. Decided to book a night at Ruby Inn based on TA reviews. Large room and bath, all the amenities, clean and comfy. The pool is size of a postage stamp, but that's the only downside, beside the "breakfast" is just pastries and hard boiled eggs. Located... More
