We were on a road trip in January and needed a motel that allows dogs. Bridgeport really closes down during the winter, and the motel we've used there in the past was closed for the month. Ruby Inn was open, and let us bring our two German Shepherds with no pet fee! The rooms are small. We had a double... More

Our first visit ever to Bridgeport after visiting Bodie Historical State Park was charming. Bridgeport is the quintessential small east Sierras town which, unknown to us pretty much closes for the winter season in early November. The Ruby Inn was the only motel in town, and lucky for us, it is a very nice place to spend the night. The... More

As a Trip Advisor regular, there have been a few (thankfully, very few) places I’ve stayed at based on TA reviews, that were so bad that I wondered if the reviews were of the same place I stayed at. In looking at the negative reviews of the Ruby Inn, I decided to see why so many people speak so poorly... More

Room was very small. Very little room for two people to move around. The TV was by the door because there was no room for it anywhere else. You couldn't comfortably watch it from the bed. And we paid $136.08 for this in September!! PS the bed and so called pillows were not very comfortable either.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we checked into the place. While our room was on the 2nd level as requested, it was right next to the road. Was afraid the traffic noise would be a problem but didn't bother us as all. While the room was very clean, it is a bit dated. Housekeeping does a wonderful job &... More

Pictures and reviews were mixed. However, after a full day at yosemite and just a place to lay your head. This hotel was perfect. Clean and quaint motel. Not modern or fancy but meticulously clean. Staff was so nice. Located on the Main Street in town. There were several local restaurants to pick from. All of which were in walking... More

Very disappointed with this place. Here's are my gripes. First of all this place is wayyyyy overpriced! $115.00 per night! Also, furnishings are very old. I mean like 1980s old. But the final nail on the coffin is the slow internet! Usually I would concede that in a town this size you get what you get. But I know for... More

The Ruby Inn was a perfect location for our visit to Mono Lake, the Bodie ghost town, and the eastern slope of the Sierras. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had the quietest night on our 2-week California trip. The breakfast was modest but adequate. The owners offered excellent suggestions for restaurants in Bridgeport and places to visit in... More

This place is a gem. Old fashioned hospitality at its finest . We have been going to Bridgeport for many years. The town is charming and the people are always friendly. The Ruby Inn is extremely clean and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and pleasent. We are always treated like family. The area offers some of the best fishing... More

a week before, on newyrs eve I paid only 70$ in Bishop for a room that was just as nice, perhaps nicer since it had a kitchenette. But we were stuck and not knowing what was ahead on the road we forked over 112$. It was quiet and clean and had fancy soaps. The owner(polite and friendly guy) told us... More
