My husband and I spent 2 nights here in a king room with a back deck that faced the river. This is an older property and low budget. While part of the room had been updated like furniture and tile entry, other parts like the bathroom door and sink and shower faucets were old and rusted. Also the back decks... More

I guess I wasn't as charmed by this place as other reviewers. My room smelled of pet urine, I tried to air out the room but the smell never left. I stayed for 2 nights and when I returned the following afternoon the stench was awful. Most people next to me had dogs and that's fine, but someone needs to... More

Our king room on the river was quiet and comfortable with good linens and all the basics for a good night's sleep. This isn't a fancy place. The rooms are on the small side and simply but attractively furnished. We appreciated the good shower and being right across the street from a GREAT breakfast place. Looking out at the river... More

The Walker River Lodge is a nice little motel right on Highway 395, but many of the rooms face north, away from the highway and are on the Walker River, which is, in actuality, a small creek. There is a nice lawn and several barbecues where you can cook your dinner, if so inclined. The rooms are nice and clean.... More

Check in was easy, very nice old style motel. Owners have done a nice job making it comfortable. Love the little patio overlooking the river. Was nice to be able to walk through town to see all of the historic landmarks and for dinner. Easy access Wifi for those who want. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Only thing negative... More

This is a very clean old style motel where you can park right outside your door. Great water pressure and hot water in the shower. Cabin style furniture and decorations. Refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in the room. We were not in a river view room so the room was small but not a problem. Wifi also worked great. We... More

We need a place to stay after not able to find camping in Yosemite national park. We arrived quite late and this was the first motel we came across,we just wanted a bed and just hoped for a clean room! We were quite pleasantly surprised by this charming motel! We were not able to get a room on the river... More

We never actually got to stay here after making a reservation because the main road was closed due to an chemical spillage, we rung the hotel and they waived the fee. We think they deserve a mention due to the professional way they dealt with our situation, If we are ever near this hotel we would book it.

Thank you for the review, with a situation like we had, the road closed, we could not "force" the reservation on you. I do believe most hotels would do the same, under the circumstances. We are sorry we missed you this time, hopefully we will have you as a guest in the future. More

This is a traditional motel, but it has been upgraded and very clean, with a pool & several b-cues for guests. Rooms facing the Walker River are best: good views, private decks, potted petunias, green lawn. Pet friendly, good housekeeping service, friendly staff., convenient short walk to restaurants and hometown stores. This motel has the "drive-to-your door" ambiance of the... More

Made a reservation via phone on 7/1 for a handicap room for the night of 8/5. When i called on 7/31 to confirm that the handicap room was being held for me, I was told that someone had booked that room for a week and it was the only handicap room they had. I cancelled and booked with another establishment.... More

We are very sorry the handicapped room was already rented on the night you requested. We are very handicapped friendly, we have all the necessary requirements per California law. Due to the fact that you did not even stay, I don't know how you could have reviewed our establishment, in its entirety - we hope you can come again and... More
