OK Motel in Bridgeport, CA but save your money and don't get the extra cost river view rooms they advertise. It's not worth it. The river is small and the deck off each room is just a long platform with no privacy. Also seemed expensive for the area.

We are so sorry you didn't like our River view rooms, that is usually our best and most favored compliment. The entire town of Bridgeport is a seasonal destination and therefore our rates can be higher than expected. More

Stuck by snow storm and pulled in without any foreknowledge. Friendly folks, nice room with cleanliness obvious. Perfect bed and pillows. A first class complimentary breakfast. Fishermen there said the local waters were good for dry flies and the lodge conveniently located.

And the breakfast is good too! I'll look for this place when I have to go through again. We stayed during low season so couldn't stay on the river but all rooms seems to be ground level so nobody above you walking around!

Thank you for the kind review. River rooms will be opening next week, although the river is running real well due to the drought. More

We were at the lodge for 3 nights over spring break with a large group of adults and kids. We rented a two bedroom apartment that was small but updated and very clean. We really appreciated the full kitchen (no dishwasher) and charcoal BBQ grills. We cooked breakfast and dinner each night and between the two kitchens had all we... More

Guess what?! We are currently re-roofing, new exterior paint, and new sidewalks!!! So our outside does look as good as our insides. Sorry about the jacuzzi - our spring weather can change day to day. One day it can be 60 and the next morning it could be 15 and our pipes could freeze. We have to wait until the... More

After a very long day of driving, we were looking forward to a good dinner and a good nights sleep. The reason we chose the Walker River Lodge is because we travel with a small dog and have to stay in places that allow dogs. Apparently, the last dog to stay there was a very wet golden retriever because the... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry about the odor in the room, we will address that issue. During our "off" season we do not have as many maintenance men to make sure the poop is cleaned up, but that is not really a good excuse. I will speak to the maintenance man and take care of that issue... More

So driving thur this super small town looking for a decent place to rest our heads we discovered Walkers Lodge. The outside makes it appear to be a run down ordinary motel... Far from that. So Barbara stated she had a two bedroom/one bath suite. Upon walking in I was immediately impressed. The suite had two flat screen tvs with... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. And something exciting for us and new guests, is that we are doing a complete remodel of the outside this Spring! So our outside looks as great as our inside! I also read that the maintenance man was a little offensive, I will speak with him immediately, as customer service is our... More

Bridgeport is a charming old western town with several motels to choose from. This is our favorite of the lot, and we've been coming here for years. Advice: upgrade to an apartment. We stayed in a 2BR 1BA unit with complete kitchen, living room, and wrap around deck on the top floor for $150 per night. The views from every... More

Walker River Lodge is centrally located in Bridgeport, California. My wife and I stayed one night in a Standard King room. The motel is pretty ordinary. The room was a bit dark but clean and we was not disturbed by traffic. The breakfast was quite okay.

Stayed only one night, wish I had more time! My room was spotlessly clean. the place is older but well maintained. Through the last decades hotels have added more stuff and bigger beds and TVs as travelers have demanded more. these older rooms weren't really built for all this ages ago, so the older rooms have gotten more crowded. King... More

My daughter and I spent one night there just before Thanksgiving while visiting Bodie. While I have stayed here before years ago, it has been updated since then. The grounds are neatly manicured; the reception area was clean, featuring antiques and a nice little breakfast room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the best part is that there are... More
