My dad and kids and I stayed here in August and I was very charmed by this lodge. Our room, a two queen bed room with river access, was very spacious and appointed nicely. The lush lawn out back and river right there makes it feel more like your own back yard. The pool and hot tub were great and... More

We spent a night here based on reviews and were pleased with the experience. The room was very clean, great beds and TV. I know that Bridgeport can get really cold, and it seemed that the baseboard heater would be sufficient. We did notice that sound transfers between units--flooring, plumbing- but it wasn't enough noise to bother us. The rooms... More

You forgot to say, the breakfast was free... Just kidding, we really can't compete with the larger hotels out there, with their waffles, pancakes, etc. We do have upscale muffins and bagels, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt and cereals. Seriously, thank you for your kind review, and we hope you will come back someday. More

Our room was clean but very small. The king sized bed was very comfortable and we had a great sleep. As the room was so small it was dificult to move around the room. The bathroom was also very small but clean. Breakfast was average, nothing special. I would have been happy with the Lodge if the room had been... More

Nice place to stay in this small town. Within walking distance to restaurants. The room was small but had a comfortable king size bed and the room was very clean. Microwave and coffee in the room. Friendly, helpful front desk. We would stay here again.

I really enjoyed our room. It was like steping back in to time to the 50's, but not in a bad way. Room was large, well appointed with furniture made from logs with the appropriate black wrought iron lamps and handles. The bed was huge, lots of pillows, comfy and warm! Room and bath was clean and fresh. The breakfast... More

This complex of single story motel rooms is right in town. Rooms are traditional motel size, with log headboards and my room had a sliding glass door to the stream in back. Well insulated so no sounds from the street or other guests. Coffee maker, flat screen TV, and comfortable bed. Parking is simple and ample. I was greeted warmly,... More

've stayed in many hotels and motels across the country but this motel was awesome. It was clean and quiet, the two most important factors to me. And the decor was modern. The staff was so nice. The internet speed was the best Ive ever had in any lodging. I was going to tell the nice lady in the office... More

Tiny room with teeny bathroom. Has what you need but a bit short on space. Nothing actually wrong with it. Breakfast sparse but okay. Expensive for what you get but in keeping with the area. A few eating places, within walking distance.

We don't understand how this place got such high ratings on bookings.com. It's just a motel with small rooms in a very small and quiet town - it's a decent place to,stop over between Yosemite and Tahoe but the lodge is way too expensive for what it provides.

We are sorry you thought our rooms are too small for the price. The Walker River Lodge and other motels in the small town of Bridgeport are seasonal businesses. Six months out of the year, we are very busy and six months we are very slow. More
