So driving thur this super small town looking for a decent place to rest our heads we discovered Walkers Lodge. The outside makes it appear to be a run down ordinary motel... Far from that. So Barbara stated she had a two bedroom/one bath suite. Upon walking in I was immediately impressed. The suite had two flat screen tvs with... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. And something exciting for us and new guests, is that we are doing a complete remodel of the outside this Spring! So our outside looks as great as our inside! I also read that the maintenance man was a little offensive, I will speak with him immediately, as customer service is our... More

Bridgeport is a charming old western town with several motels to choose from. This is our favorite of the lot, and we've been coming here for years. Advice: upgrade to an apartment. We stayed in a 2BR 1BA unit with complete kitchen, living room, and wrap around deck on the top floor for $150 per night. The views from every... More

Thank you for the kind review. We don't get many travelers in the winter and it can be so peaceful and pleasant. More

Walker River Lodge is centrally located in Bridgeport, California. My wife and I stayed one night in a Standard King room. The motel is pretty ordinary. The room was a bit dark but clean and we was not disturbed by traffic. The breakfast was quite okay.

Stayed only one night, wish I had more time! My room was spotlessly clean. the place is older but well maintained. Through the last decades hotels have added more stuff and bigger beds and TVs as travelers have demanded more. these older rooms weren't really built for all this ages ago, so the older rooms have gotten more crowded. King... More

My daughter and I spent one night there just before Thanksgiving while visiting Bodie. While I have stayed here before years ago, it has been updated since then. The grounds are neatly manicured; the reception area was clean, featuring antiques and a nice little breakfast room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the best part is that there are... More

Could be the worlds smallest bedroom and bathroom. Nothing to recommend it other than it was dry and warm. Would try someplace else next time we need a room in Bridgeport. Town was shut down fot the season.

We had a room with riverview. The room was spacious and comfortable. The furniture are rustic but had there charm. It was clean. The pool and the hot tub with mountain view is also wonderful. We enjoyed our night on our trip from Yosemite NP to Crater lake NP.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in a king room with a back deck that faced the river. This is an older property and low budget. While part of the room had been updated like furniture and tile entry, other parts like the bathroom door and sink and shower faucets were old and rusted. Also the back decks... More

I guess I wasn't as charmed by this place as other reviewers. My room smelled of pet urine, I tried to air out the room but the smell never left. I stayed for 2 nights and when I returned the following afternoon the stench was awful. Most people next to me had dogs and that's fine, but someone needs to... More

Our king room on the river was quiet and comfortable with good linens and all the basics for a good night's sleep. This isn't a fancy place. The rooms are on the small side and simply but attractively furnished. We appreciated the good shower and being right across the street from a GREAT breakfast place. Looking out at the river...
