I booked this place, as I wanted to not only visit Bodie State Park but also use it to cut down my travel distance from Zion to Yosemite. My first impression of Silver Maple Inn started with a more than friendly proprietor at the front desk. He was engaging, helpful and quite efficient in getting me checked in. The overall... More

We stayed at the Silver Maple Inn for a week. The managers were wonderful and Zeus, their well trained Dobie, was a great addition to our visit Ed and Jeannie run a clean, comfortable and inviting Inn. We enjoyed meeting Ed, Jeannie and Zeus and look forward to many more vacations at this restful, scenic retreat in the East Sierras.... More

Very nice place with a very easy approach to customers. We experienced a late arrival, but everything was fine. The morning after we had breakfast in a very nice american style kitchen at the near Cairn House. Room cleaned and king bed comfortable. To recommend.

What a cool husband and wife owned motel. Everything was clean, comfortable and friendly. Parking right in front of your room with shady grass area with lounges, tables and chairs to relax and unwind. We had a wonderful one night stay on our road trip across California. Highly recommend!!!!

spent a night with my family. My husband and daughter like this place. The room is not big but clean and comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk is very helpful and friendly. We love his dog who is very well behaved. We do enjoy our stay there and would like to come back!

I stayed here for three nights on business. It's clean and comfortable for the area. Room was a bit warm, but a ceiling fan and open windows took care of that. Breakfast was a little light, but I don't need much in the morning, so no big deal. Road noise from large trucks was evident, but not much you can... More

We stayed in the Bodie room in the Cain House. Ed was a delight as he listened to my oldest daughter chat away for several minutes. The grounds were very clean and well groomed. Plenty of chairs all around with lots of room for kids to run after a long drive. Room was clean with plenty of towels and pillows... More

There was no air conditioning in the room. There was a fan that just moved the hot air around. The shower drain was broken so I had to be careful not to cut my foot. The towel I used had a hole in it and my blankets had gross stains on them. The toilet ran off and on all night.... More

Our family has stayed here every year for the past 30 years during July 4th. It's a central location to all of the events going on during the celebration. The hotel accommodates our needs in every aspect. We will be staying here another 30+ years!!

If you'd gone on a family vacation in 1965, this is what your motel would look like. The setting is nice and the rooms are clean. I rated it down slightly because of the size of the rooms, the age of the facility and the price.

We actually take the comment about us being the type of motel you would stop in 1965 on a family vacation as a compliment - thank you! The Silver Maple Inn is not your "cookie cutter" hotel/motel and we do not want to be. The charm and character of the 1930's, in which the motel was built, is what we... More
