I stayed here for three nights on business. It's clean and comfortable for the area. Room was a bit warm, but a ceiling fan and open windows took care of that. Breakfast was a little light, but I don't need much in the morning, so no big deal. Road noise from large trucks was evident, but not much you can... More

We stayed in the Bodie room in the Cain House. Ed was a delight as he listened to my oldest daughter chat away for several minutes. The grounds were very clean and well groomed. Plenty of chairs all around with lots of room for kids to run after a long drive. Room was clean with plenty of towels and pillows... More

There was no air conditioning in the room. There was a fan that just moved the hot air around. The shower drain was broken so I had to be careful not to cut my foot. The towel I used had a hole in it and my blankets had gross stains on them. The toilet ran off and on all night.... More

Our family has stayed here every year for the past 30 years during July 4th. It's a central location to all of the events going on during the celebration. The hotel accommodates our needs in every aspect. We will be staying here another 30+ years!!

If you'd gone on a family vacation in 1965, this is what your motel would look like. The setting is nice and the rooms are clean. I rated it down slightly because of the size of the rooms, the age of the facility and the price.

We actually take the comment about us being the type of motel you would stop in 1965 on a family vacation as a compliment - thank you! The Silver Maple Inn is not your "cookie cutter" hotel/motel and we do not want to be. The charm and character of the 1930's, in which the motel was built, is what we... More

Arrived tired to Bridgeport after a long day on the road. Where to stay? Several places available, but we happened to choose this. Very friendly management, clean rooms and a good breakfast buffet in the Cairn House. Liked the spacious garden and that it was calm and quiet around. Don't know a thing about the other hotels/motels around, but we... More

We had no intentions on spending the night while driving through until we saw this small picturesque town. The Silver Maple Inn had a beautiful lush yard with flowers planted that added just the finishing touch. We stayed in the guest house behind the Cain house and it was delightful. We were traveling with four children who also fell in... More

The Silver Maple Inn has everything you need for a great fishing weekend. The location is great to fish the Walker Rivers, lakes and streams. Also close to the best ghost town in the west, Bodie. It is located about half way between the Sonora Pass and Tioga Pass on Hway. 395. The rooms are clean and the continental breakfast... More

Stayed with family over the weekend in the Caine House, what a great place for a large amount of people. We had a great time and the grounds were well kept and beautiful. The groundskeepers were friendly and very helpful. Thanks for a great weekend!
