Used this as a one overnight stay on our way from Las Vegas to San Francisco. Arrived here in the afternoon after driving through a storm, and it was still raining. Had to park in the back of the main entrance as all the spots in front were taken. It turned out later that a lot of the cars belonged... More

This hotel is doable at best! We stayed out back in the newer rooms! LOL old run down and needing updated and too pricey for the condition! It was nice having the bar to get a drink at and the following morning we had breakfast at the Inn and it was very good.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Hope you stop for a visit again someday. You might try our rooms upstairs in our historic hotel. Glad to hear you had a good meal. Bob Peters, owner. More

I spent 3 nights at the Bridgeport Inn. The location was great for exploring Bodie and Mono Lake. The room I had was upstairs above the bar. At first I thought it might be noisy, but I think the bar closed at 9 so it was never a problem. The room didn't have a TV or an electrical outlet; I... More

Thanks for the review. Almost all our guests like the "Old West Feel" of our historic Inn. The rooms without bathrooms in the room were built in the 1890's for miners and cowboys passing through Bridgeport. We do have 22 rooms with bathrooms in the room and have lots of repeat guests for both room types. Hope you come again.... More

We came from Yosemite National Park and needed a place to stay. It's in the most adorable, quaint town. Every building was all decked out for the 4th of July. We came in just as the man was about to leave for the night. He kindly gave us a room with three full-sized beds for a discounted price, and told us... More

Thanks for the review. We take pride in the fact that so many of our guests enjoy the historic Inn, and our fine dining restaurant. We have a large repeat customer business, including second and third generation guests. Hope you stop again, Bob Peters, owner More

I have been making this trip over the Sierras for fifteen years now. The Inn is a relaxing place to enjoy a couple of cocktails and have a great dinner with a good nights sleep. I have referred many of my friends to this place with great results. I can't say enough good things about the B.P.I !

Pretty disappointing. I would never stay at this hotel again. The rooms in the main building are tiny, extremely hot and there are no plugs in them, so forget about charging your phones or cameras unless you do it at the reception.

Thanks for the review. The room you rented is one of ten that were built around the early 1890's. They do not have bathrooms in the room, nor do they have plugs, TV's or other amenities as you pointed out. They are also very clean and very inexpensive. We have other choices, including rooms in our historic hotel with private... More

Stayed in one of the rooms above the restaurant with shared bathrooms. The room was clean but small and very simple. The bathrooms were clean apart from the stained grout in the showers. There is no air con or a fan in the rooms so they are quite hot and stuffy. The mattress was comfortable but the bed frame was... More

My wife and I visited the Bridgeport Inn for lunch on our way through the town of Bridgeport, CA. The Inn itself is part of a nice old house and includes both a restaurant and bar. We were seated more slowly than we expected and given a couple of seats in the main room. We ordered ice teas and those... More

Located on main street, (probably the only Street!), this motel has reasonably priced rooms. Like every motel in the USA, the walls are thin. Room heater is barely adequate. These are basically places to keep extra stuff and sleep, while you spend most of the day outside, in the beautiful countryside. Why spend a lot of money on a room... More

Thanks for the review. Don't know the room you stayed in, but we will check all heaters in the motel building just to make sure. They are powerful and fast to provide really good heat, so it's possible one might need repair. Hope you come again. Bob Peters More

We were going to visit the ghost town of Bodie and this hotel was the only place that had any rooms available. It is a very old but pleasently updated hotel. Our rooms were recently painted with wainscoat and border wallpaper added. The rooms were bright, simple and cheery. There is no bathroom in the rooms and they are at... More
