The rooms in the Redwood Motel in Bridgeport are very clean, have flatscreen tv, microwave, coffeemaker, fridge, free wifi. Beds are very comfortable. Personal is friendly. The motel has a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. We (family with 2 teenage kids) can absolutely recommend this motel.

We are a family of four with 2 small boys. We came from Yosemite to see Bodie, and made reservations in this town because we knew we would be too tired late in the day to drive the mountain passes. Honestly, we had no idea what to expect. This is a small town in the Sierras and none of the... More

The motel is what you see is what you get. The staff was very friendly an accommodating. My son and I rode in on our motorcycles and the staff offered us rags to clean them with. The room is small but good enought for an overnight stay. The wifi is fair. Electric outlets need to be changed out as plugs... More

Thank you for the positive review. Motorcyclists are fond of the ability to park their bike directly in front of the ground-floor room and often use the rags provided to wipe down their windshields and bikes. Please stay with us again when you're in our area. More

We traveled through Bridgeport for a day and stayed here. Upon check owner was friendly and helpful about the area. The rooms were very clean. This is an older motel but kept up. They allow you to fill your ice chest for free. Very quiet place. A good place to stay when visiting Bodie or just for a short get... More

I have been running art workshops for 25 years, traveling to senic spots with groups of painters to capture the local sites. While Bridgport has more than it's fair share of incredible landscapes to paint, the Redwood Motel is anything but beautiful. The owner seems to have anger issues that exceed anything I have encountered in dealing with Motel management!... More

The place is clean, but boy are the walls thin! All night I could hear the neighbor's tv and their yawns! I had to put head phones on to drown out their noises. In the morning, when the cleaning staff was cleaning the rooms, it sounded as if they were vacuuming in our room. The beds are absolutely horrible! I... More

Typically guests enjoy their clean, quiet rooms and 7 restaurants within walking distance of our motel. However, we are surprised to read of your uncomfortable bed (as guests tend to tell us how comfortable they are during their stay). Had we known the situation then, we would have been happy to move you to another room. The pitter-patter of housekeeping... More

We stay here every year as we make our way up and down 395. It is an older motel, but always very clean and comfortable. The rooms are small, but well appointed with a fridge and micro and tv. We stayed one night booked on day before arriving. Owner quoted one price 5 days before, then increased it when I booked on day! We decided to stay here based on the lonely planet book and it was a lovely stay. The owner was very knowledgable about the local area and gave us a map to the local hot springs which were superb! We thank Lonely Planet for the referral and you for your positive review. It sounds like you enjoyed the local hot springs (2 locations to choose from) during your stay. We find that placing the A/C on a medium setting cools the room more efficiently and is quieter for our guests. Please consider staying with us at the Redwood Motel... More
