This was a super fun motel in a beautiful area of California. It was just across the street from several restaurants and other shopping areas. I loved the decor and location, absolutely gorgeous. The owners were very nice and accommodating. Very clean rooms. I highly recommend this old school gem.

Been coming here for years, preferably in the warmer/hot months when we have the place almost to ourselves. The natural desert landscape, quiet and serenity beats meditation! The pool is well maintained, crystal clear and kept about 80 degrees, so one can float for hours on end without getting at all chilled. Seems silly in the desert, you'd think the... More

Came in to town with my 3 grown kids, girlfriend, and daughter in law to hike Slot Canyon. Checked in late and Mike left us a key and the lights on. We stayed in a duplex and felt like we had our own hacienda in the desert. Clean but basic. Sitting on your own porch is a real treat.

My family stays here once or twice a year and we absolutely love it! There are 6 of us and we fit comfortably in one of the duplexes, which have ample sleeping space and little kitchens. It's not fancy but we really enjoy it. It's quiet and we usually have the pool to ourselves. It really is our secret desert... More

This is a basic motel but the staff and owners are very kind. Don't expect fancy - they do have a DVD player and some moives you can borrow which is a nice plus. They also have a great spot in the middle where people can come together and have BBQs, picnics, etc. It is clean and basic - what... More

Found this place for my birding group of 16 people. After reading the Tripadvisor reviews, I decided we should give it a try. We put all the singles in the motel rooms....6 singles, 6 motel rooms. Then we had five duplexes, each for two people who were sharing a room. I should have asked which units had an extra bed,... More

Just spent two weekends there. One in the duplexes and one in the casitas. Casual, funky and fun. Within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and Christmas Circle. Great in March when San Diego is full of clouds. 80+ weather!! Beautiful!! Bathrooms are updated, kitchenettes are fun and funky. You can sit out on the patios and watch the stars at... More

Borrego Springs and Hacienda del Sol were both a pleasant surprise. The Hacienda is set back from the road on lovely grounds where you can sit in the evening and watch the stars. It is somewhat rustic, but that is part of its charm. There was only a shower (who takes baths on vacation anyway???) but that wasn't a problem.... More

We have been coming here for almost 20 years, most of those years with our kids and family friends, and we've always had a great time. This is a very unique property in the downtown area and close to everything, but it is not fancy or modern. The pool is spacious and we noted from our recent visit the've added... More
