We are not golfers, but we walked some of the course in the fading light after a sunset dinner at the Arches Restaurant. They had Vegan alternatives along with the usual steak etc. The Borrego has nice rooms, the pool was OK,the location slightly out of town with a beautiful golf course in the midst of the desert was great.Most... There is one bad thing about this hotel. It is outside of town. If you are the one who is NOT golfing, there is nowhere to walk or shop. That said, the rooms are large, it's quiet, nice pool, all amenities in the room, like a fridge and microwave. I suggest going to town and buying some food at the... More

Nicely updated haven for desert exploration. The available amenities make it possible to do all you want without having to go anywhere else. I wish that I would have had more time to take advantage of the amenities. But the nature of the trip precluded that.

Nice hotel in a quiet and peaceful part of the desert. The hotel has everything you may want – pool, hot tub, fitness center, tennis courts, golf, restaurant, spa, etc. The landscaping was well maintained and you could see some wildlife, mostly birds and rabbits around the hotel. We stayed in room 215 on the first floor and you could... More

My sister and I took our mother here for her 70th birthday. Although polite, we were a little high-maintenance and the staff handled it beautifully; our mother had a wonderful experience. So much so that she will probably return on her own. The food was great too.

This place has everything you would want if you are taking a break in the desert. We looked forward to coming back each day after hiking and exploring. Pool area was nicely set up, beds were really comfortable and the room was roomy. We had a great desert view out of our balcony which was shielded from the wind and... More

My friend and I stayed here for four nights in March. It is super comfortable and great value. I will definitely stay here again. The rooms are large with great beds. Everything is new. The pool is heated and big enough to actually swim in. The grounds are nicely landscaped. We loved the hotel restaurant.. The Arches... and ate there... More

My husband and I were very pleased by this property. The rooms were spacious, the pool was actually being used and the vistas were lovely. Just walking around the property was a joy. Breakfast at their restaurant "The Arches" overlooking the golf course was good, not so much dinner with a wedding going on outside. This is a go back... More

I've stayed here twice and it's nothing that is going to wow you, but it's a clean, safe and comfortable value when there's not much else within 60 miles. The price can be high, but you can book a deal through a travel website or during an off-peak date. We didn't use the spa, golf course or restaurant, but got... More

Where to start with how bad this resort is. They currently have a film crew staying at the resort for the next few months, they allow them free reign of the property. They're allowed to cuss and drink wherever they'd like (glass beer bottles in the hot tub, swearing in front of kids). The rooms are dump and smell like... More
