We went here to kill sometime before meeting some friends at another location. We did not stay at the available motel there, but did go into the Bar to have a couple of Beers. This places claim to fame is they claim to be the oldest bar West of the Mississippi River. The bar is very old and dirty. It... More

Smiley's is the local dive bar you would probably love if you could get past the glare of the locals when you walked in. The room is very basic but large. As clean as an old room can get but the bathroom could really use an upgrade. The bed was squishy and old. The walls are thin but we really... More

Very basic room, no extras, ants, saggy beds, no housekeeping, but a fun time reliving the sixties. The hotel and bar were dog friendly and quaint. Someone has done a good job of scheduling events to keep the bar attracting a wide variety of people throughout the week. Very entertaining and a short walk to the beach.

Stayed here for two nights and saw some of the 'real' California. It was fun and you need to read the Lonely Planet Guide, which was spot on before you go. room was grotty, clean'ish but musty and there were holes in our sheets and blankets!! No hair dryer, TV or phone but free WiFi. bar tender was fun and... More

Small establishment behind the saloon. Avoids drinking and driving. In the heart of quaint Bolinas. Books up quickly - especially on weekends with great live entertainment. Friendly staff. Can be loud if YOU want to rest before the band does. Fun for groups to book a few rooms.

We rented all 6 lovely rooms over two days (Christmas and the day after) for a family get together. All was fabulous - no complaints whatsoever - other than one unfortunate cold shower due to all the hot water being used up by too many guest showers... This bar/hotel magic-land provided everything we all were looking for - stuff for... More

This a tavern in a small town that really isn't set up for tourists. Great little local place to get a cold one. The bartender that was working while we were there was very helpful and welcoming. We ordered two beers that were not over priced and enjoyed a chat with some local folks. All in all a good experience.

These cottages could be cute with a few changes like hard material floors to control mildew from all the damp weather conditions, better sealing of aromas from bathroom to bathroom (our neighbor was smoking in the bathroom next door and made our bathroom smell like a smoking bar). Termites dropped wood particles onto my husbands head and pillow during the... More

Well first of all, the room was ok. nothing fancy, but fairly clean, no phone no tv.......that's about the only good thing I can say about this place! The party and band started at 9:00pm an the music continued until 2:00am and it was very loud! and then despite being told by the bartender/hotel clerk??? that they kept the drunken... More
