My husband and I decided to stay at the Bodgea Bay Lodge and Spa for the first three days of our holiday in the San Francisco area. We were so impressed with the Bodega Bay Lodge and Spa; the hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxation. We particularly enjoyed lighting a fire in the evening (the hotel provides... More

The accomodations were nice, great bathroom, nice patio. Only negative in the room was lack of a fan for air circulation. It was stuffy at night. We were on the first floor so did not feel safe leaving the door open. The food was outstanding. The duck was awesome as were the dungeness crab cakes. The chef was excellent at... More

My first visit to Bodega Bay Lodge was in the mid 1970's. It was then a Best Western, new enough to still be smelling of sawdust. This was long before the additions to the north or the west, before the spa, before the Duck Club Restaurant, suites or Conference Center. It was a very different establishment, nice in its own... Dear Neanne, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write and share your kind words about your stay. I cannot begin to express what a pleasure it is to read such a wonderful letter such as yours. The Bodega Bay Lodge has definitely evolved over the years and I am glad that those changes have been... The room was massive and well decorated with a lovely view and a real fire. It was only a shame that we could not have stayed more than one night. The location of the lodge is quite isolated, but a short (10-15 minute) walk down to the beach. We did not have time to use much of the lodge facilities,... More

Dear Haellostinside, Thank you for sharing your experience at the Bodega Bay Lodge. I am particularly pleased that you enjoyed the Duck Club Restaurant as our chef Jeff Reilly does an excellent job in expressing the local Sonoma bounty that we are so lucky to have available to us. I hope you will be able to stay with us longer... More

Bodega Bay is a beautiful area and the Bodega Bay Lodge is the perfect base from which to explore Sonoma County. When we went (only for 1 night) the weather was very poor, which put a slight damper on the stay. However, we are both looking forward to returning another time and will stay longer. From the hotel, you can... More

We stayed at the Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa for 2 nights from Feb 15-17, 2010, not 2011. Our room was very nice, a good location, with a comfortable bed and sitting chair. We had a nice view looking down the hillside and partial view of the bay. The staff was very accommodating and explained their amenities. Even though they... More

We found pretty much everything about this place to be unusually awesome. Before going on, though, I should mention that our room was upgraded to the "Captain's Quarters" suite, which was everything you'd expect and more. The desk staff were lovely (we got Alice) and we did not experience the snobbishness felt by others (we're in our 30s and wearing... More

We've been to the Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa several times, in all seasons. The calm and comfort of this property overlooking Doran Beach is incredible. Our most recent visit was during a "monsoon." And it was WONDERFUL! From this "base camp" you can launch day trips including kayaking, winetasting, hiking, etc. Or you can spend all day at the... More

Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Location, Location Location. Right on the bay we had a room of the bay. You could hear the seals in early evening. Everything at the Lodge was perfect.

Stayed here for one night in Pacific Coast Upper Room. Beautiful and peaceful location. Loved being able to walk to beach that felt very private. Not much to do but relax since there isn't much else around there but we wanted to escape so that was fine. Rooms were very nice but prices while reasonable by Northern Cal standards still... More
