My husband and I were traveling the coast without pre-planned overnight stays. We stopped at the chamber office when we arrived in Bodega Bay and was told about Bodega Inn (as well as other options). The price was reasonable $89 for a room with a King bed. The room was small but it served our needs for a comfortable overnight... More

My son turned us on to the Inn as he frequents the Northern Ca. Coast. The wife and I have stayed here twice in the past year, once over a weekend and during the week. The staff are most friendly, helpful, and will go out of their way to please their guests. I recommend using the fire pit with a... More

My wife loved the quirkyness - 1 inch copper pipe for curtain rods; Mr. Coffee machines on every table in the common room; something of the hippie hostel about it perhaps. The desk guy was indeed friendly and the price was about right. No corporate stylization here. My only real complaint is that I was told I could pull the... More

My daughter came out to visit from Colorado and I wanted to surprise her with a weekend trip to the ocean. We stayed here and it was a HUGE disappointment. Very run-down and drab "home" atmosphere. Upon arrival, since we had a small dog with us, we were quarantined to a remote section of the property with concrete floors which... More

The good news first, The front desk day person, Ted was very helpful and accomodating. The day was a bit warm, and they have no heat or air, so he provided a fan. Evening had cooled off nicely so I don't imagine they need this very often. Common area included fridge and microwave and some provisions. Nice touch with the... More

Praise first: The front desk person was very friendly and pleasant and the king bed was very comfortable. The room was a disaster. It smelled of mildew. The floor felt like splintered plywood...weak and broken in spots. But that is a guess, as it was covered with an ugly carpet which had a patch that didn't even pretend to be... More

The spectacular Highway One seems to be all about the stretch south from San Francisco. In our opinion Highway One north from SF is even more spectacular, and one place absolutely worth visiting is the small fishing town of Bodega Bay. And the place to stay there is the Bodega Bay Inn. It's a small family-owned hotel. We didn't see... More

This is a small town, coastal hotel so if you're looking for a Marriott...look somewhere else. That being said the rooms were large and clean and the staff of 1 was friendly and accommodating. It is a bit like a strangely laid out home with rooms scattered throughout. Unusually bathrooms but otherwise covered all the amenities we needed. No breakfast... More

honest comments from recent stay - place needs maintenance attention - shabby - big room and big comfortable bed but little ants in bathroom on floor - killed many of them but they kept showing up - NO hot water - was offered another room in a shabbier bldg out back that supposedly had hot water but steep stairs and... We booked this in a slight rush and then read the reviews a night or so before we got there. We were ready for the worst! OK........we were greeted by the smell of Fish Soup? But loved our stay for one night at this quirky Guest House. Rooms were large ( Library and Dunes) comfy beds, old bathroom...great recommendation for... More
