Praise first: The front desk person was very friendly and pleasant and the king bed was very comfortable. The room was a disaster. It smelled of mildew. The floor felt like splintered plywood...weak and broken in spots. But that is a guess, as it was covered with an ugly carpet which had a patch that didn't even pretend to be... More

The spectacular Highway One seems to be all about the stretch south from San Francisco. In our opinion Highway One north from SF is even more spectacular, and one place absolutely worth visiting is the small fishing town of Bodega Bay. And the place to stay there is the Bodega Bay Inn. It's a small family-owned hotel. We didn't see... More

This is a small town, coastal hotel so if you're looking for a Marriott...look somewhere else. That being said the rooms were large and clean and the staff of 1 was friendly and accommodating. It is a bit like a strangely laid out home with rooms scattered throughout. Unusually bathrooms but otherwise covered all the amenities we needed. No breakfast... More

honest comments from recent stay - place needs maintenance attention - shabby - big room and big comfortable bed but little ants in bathroom on floor - killed many of them but they kept showing up - NO hot water - was offered another room in a shabbier bldg out back that supposedly had hot water but steep stairs and... We booked this in a slight rush and then read the reviews a night or so before we got there. We were ready for the worst! OK........we were greeted by the smell of Fish Soup? But loved our stay for one night at this quirky Guest House. Rooms were large ( Library and Dunes) comfy beds, old bathroom...great recommendation for... More

I hate to leave reviews which are slanted toward the negative, but Bodega Bay Inn compels me. For the simple reason that, with a little work, the place could easily be much more inviting. When you consider they charge the same as The Inn at the Tides, you really gotta wonder why anyone would choose to stay at BBI. The... More

If pictures are worth a thousand words, then this place has all the right photos; however, do not be deceived. The lodging was located in the back part of property. The room was small, no bigger than 12x12, king bed OK, but no coffee in the room, only in the main part of the hotel. After staying here @ $150... More

Two nights at this OK, family-run veteran of the Bodega Bay scene. Not the place to go if your a "high maintenance" guest, but room (#3) was nice and big, good bed, fine Wi-Fi. I think terming the garden as spectacular is somewhat fulsome, and while the "kitchen" is well stocked it is very much DIY, including coffee. Our major... More

Extremely dissatisfied. The room we were assigned is not pictured on website. We were in Tree Top... up stairs on the right. The white base boards scuffed in black through out the room. The drapes were missing hooks to hang properly. We ran the water for 10 minutes never got hot water. The white shower curtain was stained at the... More

I usually do not write reviews, however, I felt compelled because of the excellent service and value I received at the Bodega Bay Inn. I have stayed here twice now and was impressed both times. First, the owners, Ted and Susan, were so welcoming and personable- it really started my stay off on a positive note. The rooms were clean... More
