Love the location, service and feeling of being in the Sierra Mountains. The staff cared. The breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. The cabins may be too rustic for some guests. Great fishing nearby.

Thankfully, Cardinal Village resort has kept it's down-home charm year after year. Ken and Shaleann have picked up where Hal left off without missing a beat. Their warm, friendly attitudes and wonderful accommodations make this resort a truly unique experience. Miles of some of the best trout fishing in California, hiking and horseback riding on stunningly scenic trails, swimming in... More

We love it. We have been coming here with another family for over 15 years The people are always so nice and friendly. We love the no TV, no internet. We joke and say our kids are forced to talk with us! We all play games eat and fish!!

Cardinal Village Resort is a jewel in the Eastern Sierras; perfect for families, friends, and couples. Immaculate cabins, excellent meals at the café, beautiful surroundings...our fourth visit over the years and we will definitely be back.

Cardinal Village is a gem of a place situated in a beautiful mountain setting next to an old gold mine. No room service, no mint on the pillow but so what. Ken and Shale Ann (proprietors) are the best. They make you feel like family, keep the rustic cabins clean and point you in the right direction for a great... More

We stayed in one of the primitive cabins because we planned and fishing all day and just needed a place to rest our heads. It was perfect! Had the amenities we needed and we even caught some fish out of the stream just 10 yards behind our cabin and also in the stocked pond of the resort. It was great

Cardinal Village is a place that welcomes people with open arms. My family and I have been frequent visitors for generations, and we plan to keep it that way. From the moment you wake up, to the minute you go to sleep, the experience here is wonderful. From friendly staff, to amazing meals, to beautiful scenery, it just doesn't get... More

Great food, generous portions, wonderful hosts in an absolutely classic "retro" setting! Just doesn't get any better, right in the heart of God's beautiful creation! Did I mention they had good coffee?

As advertised it's a rustic cabin, however it comes at a 4 star price of $250 per night with tax. Very steep for what you get. Next time we'll stay 15 minutes away in Bishop for half the cost. It's fun to stay high up the in mountains, but the amenities and condition are average at best. The people are... More

This place is so cute and relaxing! No alarm clocks, no cell, nothing to do but enjoy the scenery and take in nature at it's best! Bottleneck is right along the creek, which made the cabin even more enjoyable. We hiked to the mine one day, and the resort pooch accompanied us most of the way. We usually stay in... More
