The desk clerk was a very likable character. The rooms are dated, but adequate. The furniture of the small rooms made moving around the room a challenge. The bed was fine. The bathroom could use some updating. The thermometer of the wall heater did not seem to function. If you turned it on no matter what temperature it ran continuously... More

If you took vacation trips to the mountains when you were a kid, you might have stayed in a motel just like this. The small, one story, older motel is away from the busy main street, has a lawn area with barbecues, bags of charcoal, and seating under the large trees. Everything the fisherman needs to prepare their catch! You... More

A retro throwback to the great American automobile traveling era, this motel has been refurbished and is great! We have stayed here twice and have not been disappointed. 45 a night plus tax for two can't be beaten. The Trees Motel has everything you need from singles to a family suite with kitchen, PLUS a great outside barbecue area with... More

We were returning customers. Years ago we had a great experience here and the prices were very reasonable. We should have called ahead and they probably would have given us a good price. We couldn't believe the $130 a night price tag that they lowered to $110. Our room was noisy, situated on a busy street with heavy traffic all... More

We've been staying at the Trees Motel for years on fishing trips. If you've never been to Bishop before there are no 4 or 5 star hotels so don't expect one at the Trees. There are some comfortable, friendly places in Bishop and the Trees is one of them. It's easy to overlook because it's on West Line Street about... More

Extremely friendly, helpful, engaging managers prevailed not only at check-in but also when I made the reservation. Inviting ambiance of a refurbished "mom and pop" establishment. Attractively designed room decor with nicely selected, relaxing color scheme with touches of wrought iron sconces, tile, and granite, etc. Centrally located yet off the beaten path a tad but to our liking. Additionally,... More

Speedy check in, affordable rate, absolutely dreamy bed, and a wonderful little kitchenette made this a perfect night. Just A tad off the main road, it was very quiet and yet convenient to the retail area, grocery stores, and restaurants. We were driving from north to south and Bishop was a natural stop over point for us. We are glad... More

Intended to pass right through Bishop, but decided that we wanted to spend more time in this nice little town. This motel looked decent, and the price was right, so we took a chance. It was a nice surprise to open the door and find a clean, updated, yet quaint and cozy room. I don't know if it was the... More

The receptionist was friendly enough when we arrived, but the rooms we had were in need of refurbishment. The general appearance of this motel could do with being smartened up. However, it's in a good location within a short drive of restaurants. Clean sheets and comfortable bed. Okay for a one night stop.

We were meeting family here after a day in Mammoth Lakes to see the Bristlecone Pine Forest. From the pictures, this looked like a funky little place in a good way. The rooms are cute but they are small. They've made an effort to upgrade the rooms, & the upgrades in place are nice. The bed was quite comfy, the... More
