Stayed here for one night between Yosemite and Vegas. It was as my title suggests a lovely little place. Very clean and safe. Its a typical motel room, but the staff are very helpful. The breakfast is nothing to shout home about. Its a bit of a walk to the centre of Bishop but definitely doable and it is a... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mountain View Motel. This is a truly classic place to stay in Bishop, tucked away in a corner on West Line Street. The room was exceptionally large with a nice sized and well equipped kitchen off of the main room, including a frig, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, electric range and even plates, glasses and cookware.... We were looking for a one night stopover driving from San Francisco to Las Vegas and I booked this after reading the reviews on here. The room was bigger than the more expensive hotels we had in both places mentioned above, free wi-fi access, TV had more channels, the room had a fridge and a large bathroom. The bed was... More

Why pay twice the price for a bed and a shower? Decent straightforward place.

My goal was to "board" Mammoth for under $300.00 for three days/four nights.....Get your 3 out of 4 day lift ticket through Costco ($178.00)...Gas ($175.00/3)...Food (Vons grocery for sandwiches/water...dollar menu at Jack's....pizza/drinks for dinner--free continental breakfast at Motel....total cost--$20.00 per day.) ... the motel....booked through Orbitz....used their online coupon....Motel came to $45.00 per night per room!...My buddies got a separate... went there for skiing in Mammoth which is not too close. Rooms were really big, nice big bathroom. Absolutely silent there. Even at very cold nights the air condition kept us nicely warm. We came there cause we read the other reviews. They are right, this is a good place at medium / low budget. Breakfast was not really great... More

When I arrived I found my window would not lock and when I reported this to the office, they cheerfully and quickly gave me another room. Spartan but very clean accommodations just west of US 395 on Line Ave. You will save between $20 and $40 dollars per night over the chain motels on the main highway. Rooms have refrigerators,... Located several blocks off the main drag (HWY 395) on the road to Lake Sabrina. Good for us as we planned a weekend hike from South Lake. This motel is a bit run down, but not really too much so. We got a very reasonable price by phoning direct - when the internet showed "No vacancy". Real large room with... More

This accomodation is rated too high. It is a very basic accomodation for a quick stayover only. It is really showing its age. Needs a major remodel. If you don't want anything fancy it is fine. Make sure you request a room on the back side away from the street. Even though it was not pool season, the pool was... More

This was our 2nd stay at the Mountain View Motel. It was not quite as nice as it was 6 years ago. The motel is a bit run-down. and in need of a complete renovation. Maid service is quite good. We had problems with Wifi but there is a library in town with access to the internet.
