Rock Creek Lake resort is truly a mountains lovers paradise. The store has the best comfort food around and the apricot pie is simply unsurpassed! Room accommodations are basic but if you want a true mountain experience then that's ok, one is usually so busy by the time it's bedtime you simply slip off to sleep anyways. So many things... More

I have stayed at Rock Creek Lodge in recent years but never at Rock Creek Lake Resort. I will be a regular at Rock Creek Lake Resort; the cabins are large and designed with more home appeal. Cabin 5 had separate rooms for the kitchen, living room and two well footed bedrooms. Outside the cabin was just as appealing with... More

We had read positive reviews so our expectations were high and we knew the accommodations were not cheap. We arrived without reservations, but late enough in the season that space was available. The staff and owners were outstandingly friendly and accommodating. The cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The setting is magnificent. Be sure to get a piece of the... More

Famous for the best homemade pies in the Eastern Sierra Nevada, Sue and Jim King run a most impressive rustic establishment that includes a country store, tackle shop, coffee shop, and the best cabins this side of the Rockies. Although it's not really a resort, it offers the best accommodations available at the highest elevation accessible by automobile in California.... More

We've been going camping to Rock Creek for years. We stayed in the cabins once due to the unexpected weather, we prefer to sleep in the tent. However, the cabins are rustic, with nice accommodations. The cabins were kept clean, and amply furnished. There is no internet, or cell phone coverage, so a great way to enjoy a nice a... More

The term "resort" should be used loosly here. The place is a "resort" in my sense of the word, my wife on the other hand describes it as a lodge. I LOVE the rustic feel to this place. Rock Creek canyon is nothing short of magical and whether you are staying in one of the cabins or a campground the... More

I absolutely love this place. This a perfect place for campers, fishermen, hikers and backpackers. The fishing is great but the hiking and views are even better. The cabins have nice accommodations. I’ve stayed in cabins 4a, 4b and 9. They’re not fancy but they’re warm, clean and well furnished. Cabin 9 is newer and nicer than the other cabins.... More
